The Puerto Rico B1/B2 Visa is a multiple-entry travel document that allows you to enter Puerto Rico and it is a combination of a tourist and business visa.

Citizens from countries that are part of the Visa Waiver Program don’t need to apply for the Puerto Rico B1/B2 Visa, but they will need to apply for an ESTA.

First-time and renewal applicants must have a valid passport for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date to Puerto Rico to apply for the visa.

Your reason for traveling must be for business, tourism, or medical treatment.

Renewal applicants cannot have exceeded the 6 months of stay allowed on past trips to Puerto Rico.

Applicants that qualify for an Interview Waiver only need to drop off the required documents at the Drop-Off Location we will indicate.

In some cases, applicants do not need to go in person to leave their documents; that decision depends on The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The DHS is the only one who can decide on the interview appointment date. Currently, some locations have an interview waitlist of more than 12 months.

After your interview appointment, it will take at least 4 weeks until your passport is ready with your new stamped visa.

Requirements to renew your visa without an interview

You have to report the loss or theft to the Puerto Rico Embassy. If it was stolen, you must also report it to the police. Then, you must apply for a new visa by submitting a new application.
My visa was damaged. What should I do?
You must apply for a new visa. You’ll need to fill out a new application and pay the fee, just like the last time.
