How to get the Turkey Visa for Bangladeshi citizens

What is a Turkey Visa?

The Turkey eVisa is an electronic travel authorization that allows eligible travelers to enter Turkey for short-term tourism or business activities.

It replaces traditional visa stamps or stickers and offers a convenient, fully online application process.

For Bangladeshi citizens, the Turkey eVisa is issued for single entry only. This means that the visa allows a single entry into Turkey within its 180-day validity period, and the visit cannot exceed 30 days​.

Which documents do I need for a Turkey eVisa?

To apply successfully, ensure you have these essential documents:

• A valid Bangladeshi passport: It must be valid for the length of your stay in Turkey.

• Visa or residence permit: You require a valid visa or residence permit from a Schengen country, the US, UK, or Ireland.

• Return ticket: Proof of a return flight or onward travel booking.

• Hotel reservation: Documentation showing confirmed accommodation in Turkey.

• Financial proof: You must demonstrate you can support yourself financially during your stay in Turkey and have at least USD $50 per day of your stay​.

Important: Your return ticket must be booked with an airline approved by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These include Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Onur Air, and Egypt Air. This ensures that travelers are flying with airlines that have signed a protocol with Turkish authorities to facilitate eVisa holders.

How to apply for the Turkey eVisa from Bangladesh

The Turkey eVisa application process is entirely online:

Step 1: Visit the official Turkey eVisa portal: Start your application on the official government website.

Step 2: Fill in the application form: Provide your personal and passport information, making sure all details match your documents.

Step 3: Upload required documents: Submit your passport copy and your visa or residence permit from a qualifying country.

Step 4: Pay the visa fee: Make a secure online payment using a credit or debit card.

Step 5: Receive your eVisa by email: After approval, the eVisa will be emailed to you. We recommend printing a copy to present at immigration if needed​.

"Apply for your eVisa at least 48 hours before your flight to Turkey, to avoid issues if you're visa application is delayed," recommends Ra'eesah.
