Everything you need to know about the Vietnam Visa for UAE residents

The Vietnam eVisa is an electronic document that the country's government introduced in 2017. Travelers from the United Arab Emirates can obtain this document without having to visit a Vietnam embassy. This is not a business visa or a Vietnam visa on arrival, this is a tourist visa that you can apply for online through iVisa.

The Vietnam e-visa is valid for stays of up to 30 days after arrival from the date of entry and is a Multiple Entry document. If you wish to stay longer in Vietnam, you must apply for an extension at the Vietnam Immigration Department.

The Vietnam visa application process is relatively straightforward. First, fill out our secure, simple online form with your personal details and choose a processing time that suits your travel schedule. Then, once you've verified the information, pay the service fee to iVisa. Finally, attach the necessary documents and click 'submit' to apply for your Vietnam visa.

It is recommended to apply at least a few weeks before your trip to Vietnam. Currently, iVisa does not offer the Vietnam visa approval letter to obtain a visa on arrival in Vietnam.

Does everyone have to apply for this document to visit Vietnam?

The Vietnamese visa is available for citizens of approximately 80 countries worldwide, and the United Arab Emirates is one of them. You can also check our visa checker tool to double-check if you qualify to apply online with iVisa.

All passengers, including children, need to obtain their own Vietnam eVisa before departure. It is possible for children to apply for their visas individually or in a group application with their parents.
