Vietnam visa for citizens of Brazil

Vietnam, a country celebrated for its early agricultural advancements, particularly in wet rice cultivation, is rich in cultural and historical heritage. Shaped uniquely like an elongated 'S', Vietnam stretches along the eastern coast of the Indochina peninsula. It borders China to the north, Laos and Cambodia lie to the west, and the Eastern Sea, known as the South China Sea, is to its east.

Brazilian citizens have several options for obtaining a Vietnam visa. One way is the conventional method through the Vietnamese embassy in Brazil, where applications can be made either in person or by mail. Another option is the Visa on Arrival, which requires a pre-arranged approval letter through a Vietnamese visa agency. The most user-friendly choice is the Vietnam eVisa.

Tourist visas for Vietnam are usually issued for 30 or 90 days, with options for either single or multiple entries. These visas can be extended from within Vietnam, although this involves an extra fee.

If you're planning a trip to Phu Quoc, the well-known tropical island of Vietnam, you'll be delighted to know that you can visit Phu Quoc for up to 30 days without a visa, provided you enter the island by air. If you wish to explore more of Vietnam outside Phu Quoc or extend your stay beyond 30 days, you'll need to secure a visa.

Do Brazilian citizens need a Vietnam eVisa?

For Brazilian citizens planning a trip to Vietnam, obtaining a Vietnam eVisa is a must.

In a move to boost tourism and open up to a global audience, Vietnam expanded its eVisa program in August 2023 to include all countries. Previously limited to around 80 countries, this expansion has also increased the number of Vietnamese ports of entry where the eVisa is accepted from 38 to 42.

It's important for travelers to enter Vietnam through the port of entry specified on their eVisa. This specified entry point cannot be changed after the eVisa application is submitted and the visa is issued. If their plans involve entering through a different port, a new visa application will be necessary.

Using iVisa for your Vietnam eVisa application offers numerous benefits over applying by yourself.
