Back to Uganda visa
  • Horrible experience. At least 8 different people handled my file: constantly requesting the same documentation that I had already submitted. Was not told that once I traveled outside of 3 countries of East Africa visa, that I would have to apply again for a visa. Wasted money since I will be returning back to Uganda in August. I must have sent over 40 emails----- over and over again with new people requesting what I had already submitted. Had to finally threaten you to get my visa.

  • I paid for a $100 East Africa tourist Visa with expediency. What you sent me was a $50 Uganda tourist visa! I am very unhappy about this.

  • Send me the invoice of mine including all the costs for issuing the e-visa. Let me know the email address and phone number so that I can give you a message if necessary.

  • Appalling, agonising 3 hour plus process for myself and my elderly mother. Only to be contacted to request more information (scanned ID of our hosts) not requested on original form. £360 plus pounds! Only for the digital and travel savvy.

  • I paid the extra 100.00$ for expedited visa but it took over 6 days I should have just done it on Uganda consulates website for 50.00$ I think you should refund my extra money

  • They charged me trice and they don’t have any contact number to speak to anyone. I think it kind of a scam visas would have remained issued at the airport

  • They promise a certain number of days to deliver the visa and they dont deliver it. I paid more to have it in 4 days and nothing. This is a scam dont use it.

  • You ask too many unnecessary things. Why don't you check all details you need before taking the money? Or scan yellow card, or passport not scanned well, or proof of if the ticket was bought etc

  • I paid for the urgent 2 days visa and I received it until the 5th day. Because of this I had to make changements on my flights. At the end it was the same time as if I applied directly to the government site, there was not any advantage to hire this service.

  • Ivisa nearly ruined my trip. To start you requested my hotel booking information which I kindly gave u never submitted my visa was delayed and rejected because u failed to upload the proper documents if it wasn't for me directly contacting immigration my visa would not have arrived. I also recieved my visa directly from immigration 4 hours before I was to leave for the airport. And only after I emailed you that I recieved did u guys finally say my visa was completed many hours after it was actually completed you guys waste time and are not professional at all. Money better spent anywhere else I will never book a visa through you guys again. If your in any kind of time restraint this is a sure way to ruin everything.

  • The fact remains that your company falsely led me to believe that it is easier to use your service in obtaining a Visa. Needless to say, I embarked on my trip to Uganda without a Visa and to my surprise, on landing it took me literally 2 minutes to obtain a Visa on arrival. When you cannot deliver as promised, it is easy to blame the government department. One thing I know for sure, I will never ever use your services again. You took my money and still have the audacity of sending me the confirmation letter after I have returned from my trip. There is also no mention of a refund.

  • Hi You didn't get the Visa before my travelling or arriving in Uganda, as a result, I paid $50.00 USD and wasted one hour in Uganda airport, the officers checked and confirmed that no visa application was submitted from your side, I am not happy at all of your service. Mechel Eskarous

  • Honestly this service seems like a scam. You pay and then they invent delay after delay - a document missing here, a "sorry we are really very busy" there. You have to contact them, they never proactively give you information. I never did get my visa and had to go another route when it became clear they were scamming me. Avoid.

  • I struggled to obtain my visa after several requests for help, as follows: 1. I submitted my application on Monday , 27th October where I clearly indicated that I had to leave SA on 03 November to attend a conference in Uganda. 2. I bought all flight tickets for the 3rd November , which I sent to you. 3. I could not load my itinerary, invitation letters and copy of my passports until you requested me to send them by email that I did on Wednesday , 29th October 2019. 4. After I sent my documents I received emails from different practitioners who were handling my case and asking for the same information that I had already sent and had to send it again and again. 5. On Thursday and Friday I received assuring emails that the matter was pending government approval but should be able to travel on the 3rd November. 6. On the 2nd November , just a day before my departure there was no direction from you of what I should do after I did not receive the Visa as promised. 7. Through advice from the World Bank who invited me to the Conference I left South Africa without a Visa and had to travel in the most discomforting and stressful situation. 8. On arrival at Entebbe Airport, Uganda I had to stand in the long queues for hours to apply for the new iVisa. Fortunately, I was granted the Visa at the airport and they did not charge for it again. They made it clear to me that their fee on line is U$50 and the extra that I have paid for you for your service I did not get its benefit. 9. In view of the above I wish to register my strongest complaint of your service. I believe i do deserve a refund of the extra that I paid for your service that I did not enjoy. I trust you will consider my request favorably.

  • The 2 days visa that was supposed to be sent to my mail never came till I got to uganda and had help through immigration, if I knew it was visa on arrival I wouldn’t have wasted my 151 dollars

  • The site is very professional indeed - but that is the only joy I got as far as the VISA is concerned. I applied for a "2 day return VISA" option, paid max USD for that, never received the VISA. I am already back from my trip, received a notification now that the VISA is ready? I'm good thanks, got the VISA on the airport and will do it like this next time.

  • I paid for expedited turn of 4 business days. The application to Ivisa was made on 31-AUG Me and my travelpartners were almost rejected in Uganda due to a lack of visas on 6-SEP (5 business days after application). With application IDs we barely managed to pass immigration. I will not be using iVisa again

  • I loved it. It was wonderful. The email communication was clear and kind. Keep up the good work guys. Let me visit your wonderful east africa again and again

  • Wouldn’t recommend this, we paid for the East African visa + ivisa’s Processing charge and received the visa after 6 days as promised however. The visa system in Africa is not fuctional and we ended up having to pay at every boarder regardless they would not recognise the visa and ivisa refused to help at all once I notified them.

  • I requested a d paid for a 48 turnaround That past by 24 to 36 hours. I was sent an email stating I would receive a refund of the expedited money I arrived and bought my Visa at the airport. I then received an email stating I had been approved 20 hours after I arrived!

  • No sense of urgency even after paying the additional $30 for a rush application VISA took 5 working days to be issued resulting in missing my appointment
Eugene Janse van VuurenMay 22, 2019
  • Ivisa commits to an expedited, 1 day service that they charge you extra for. They could not deliver in 1, 2 or 3 days. I received my visa only after my due flight had departed, so I missed a trip. No apologies are given. Really poor service

  • I paid for a fast issuance of a visa to Uganda, received it as expected but found out that my passport number was wrong. I contacted iVisa to inform them of the error and asked them to address it, but they decided to cancel the visa and reimburse me the amount paid. They advised me to get a visa on arrival that I got easily when I arrived to Entebbe. I am wondering why I was not informed that I could get a visa on arrival in the first place.

  • I am an American citizen. I was visiting South Africa and needed to travel to Uganda May 8, 2019. I traveled to Uganda years ago and simply secured my visa at the airport. Before I left for my trip I did a google search the night before to make sure nothing changed regarding the visa process. What popped up was that Americans can no longer get visas at the airport in Uganda. It instructed me to “Click Here” (iVisa) to file for an eVisa. They offered a “Super Rushed” 24hr service which I paid extra for ($156 total) to ensure I could get into Uganda. What I discovered was I could in fact get a visa at the Uganda airport for $50. The immigration supervisor said that there was no such thing as “Super Rushed “ service and that I used the wrong website to secure the visa. He told me to simply go to a certain window and pay for the visa ($50), which I did. I got into the country without any issues. It is now 40 plus hours later and I still have not received a eVisa as promised by iVisa. I have absolutely nothing to show for the money I spent utilizing that company. I complained and even requested a refund to no avail. There is no eVisa and no follow up to my refund request by the company. Terrible experience. Per their advice I would have still be stuck in the airport or sent back to South Africa, if what they said about Uganda no longer granting visas at the airport were true.

  • Very bad!! To way to long!! I paid for a rush. I feel like your website totally mislead me. As results I was unable to get into the country. I had to fly all the way back home to California and could not do buisness in Uganda 🇺🇬! Unacceptable 😡😡😡😡

  • Stunningly incompetent. If I could give zero stars I would. They botched my application so badly that my visa could not be issued. I was told - finally, after days of wrong instructions and dozens of emails - that my application was complete and I would have it in 3 days. Then I was told that it was not complete, and I needed to upload my photo and documents (again). Then again, complete, three days, and then Nope, can't issue, because "the government" - get this - found a visa had already been issued or applied for using my identity. That can only be the one that this outfit themselves submitted. At no time over the two weeks of frustration that this dragged on could I ever speak to any person, or even have a cogent correspondence with anyone. I believe that "customer service" is 100% computerized. NONE of iVisa's emails EVER answered any of my questions or spoke to my issues. They were all cheery, boilerplate, standard mass-type communications. I begged to be able to speak with a supervisor, but was totally ignored. Maybe an actual human in the organization will see this review and someone will FINALLY get back to me and help me fix the mess they made. Stay away from iVisa.

  • Extremely bad service and took three times longer than it said it would. I even paid extra for a fast service. Would never use ivisa again.

  • could not take a medicine that was on the visa and you could not get back to me after a month of asking you guys. had to send you the same information 4 time before you finally put my visa in.

  • I received my visa after I had arrived in the country and therefore had to pay another US$50 to enter the country. This was despite paying for a 2 day processing time the visa took over a week to be approved.
