Web site requires redundant entry of info. WAY to expensive and feels like politically derived extortion. Sick.
Was charged over $500 CAD for 2 UK Visas. I later found out we could have got them for u der $50 CAD on the UK Gov site
The procedure ist some sort of complicated and the final document as an email is on the one side large and on the other side it does not look like an official approvement to the immigration.
It would be good to inform a customer what to expect at the beginning. I had no idea it would involve photos. That was not my experience with a ETA for Canada.
Too complicated-remember those seniors like me who are challenged when it comes to taking photos, uploading them online, etc.
The photo taking a picture of a usa passport was extremely difficult.
I found it extraordinarily difficult to add my photo to the application
Downloading photos was a very difficult process. My photos were rejected 17 times. How could those photos be rejected when they were better than my passport photos? The good news is that customer support just did it for me. No idea how! But I was grateful.
The initial forms were tedious and stressful. Because of sudden requirement for a visa i lost $809.00 tt on an eta and $154us on an incomplete form. Thats a terrible experience.
I got multiple messages about my visa which were conflicting. And taking the photos was also confusing, with the photo being accepted when taken then rejected later. Hard to figure out why.
I paid too expensive for it and at normal price is 14 Euro
Costly and could not look at each step in application to ensure everything had been prepared.
Very quick, but very expensive with no upfront info about the gap between 20GBP and the 99Eur it ultimately costs.
I got the wrong visa and I cannot change it with a refund of the difference in fee.
I had persistent problems uploading documents to the system. it took SEVEN photographs of my wife's passport before it begrudgingly accepted it, and it would not accept my wife's recent photo. I had to have technical support do that for me.
The chat agents are terrific, kind and attentive. But the system and the messages from AI that don't match agreements with the agent, are frustrating and worrisome. My wife and I are in our 80's and not good with uploading. The chat agents agreed to do it for us, but it took several stressful days to get it done. You can't expect people our age to be familiar with these things. Now that it's been approved, I wonder if my wife is covered as well. Her name and passport number aren't shown.
The system didn't accepte the photo of my passport even after several tres. I wanted to try again a little bit later but no way to find the file. I sent a message by whatsapp and obviously the answers were given by AI useless! Finally I received an e mail with the link to my file.
I didn't see how much you were going to charge me till the process was done. £10+£90 , I wouldn't have gone for it
Photo downloads were cumbersome and with very poor suggestions to correct. Also, why require another picture when the passport already has photo. Example of poor website design. ALSO, received message requiring another picture of spouse which followed approval of both applications. NOT worth the money charged (not the UK visa application). Find better alternative.
I needed to cancel and had a difficult time finding how to contact anyone until after it was too late to cancel. This was a very frustrating experience which took a lot of time.
For me it is incomprehenisble programming that I can send in an application that contains several mistakes - that then leads to a back-and-forth of questions and answers from both sides. Why did not the automatic scanning notice that i had not filled in an address e.g....
I can not reach anyone to discuss my application...wgats app link does not work...I need to read a customer service person...my application number is [redacted] thank you Norman Beretta
I spent a lot of time to get a picture accepted both from the passport and ourselves. The other thing is that I think that the visa is to expensive.
The whole process is far too time-consuming. It took me 2 hours. The costs are not transparent at the beginning
I was telephoned by someone from your office who did not understand me AT ALL. It was most frustrating He was supposed to be helping me !
I suggest that in the section saying who needs to get the UK ETA it adds ‘those born in the UK who do not have a British passport’. It may seem obvious but it wasn’t to me and it caused me a lot of stress.
Given the 'hoops' I had to jump through to complete this process.. well it was far easier to renew my Passport. After concluding this process, I was left wondering 'Just What Is The Purpose Of A Passport'? We are 2 Seniors just wanted to spend a holiday in the U.K. and having to go through this process is certainly Not a Invitation to visit the UK. Our Canadian Passports should have been sufficient..really who thought up this Process? I would add here I was born a British Citizen in 1944 in the then colony of Newfoundland.
I was over charged and did not receive an invoice for my payment of 109.10 Eur for a visa
We are not big international travelers. When I went to get my UK ETA visa, Ivisa was the first entry in my google search. From the opening page of the website, I could not tell this was a for fee service, and not the UK government's system. I had already given personal data and had paid before this was clear. I could have save $200 by using the perfectly workable system set up by the UK. Just the same, we got ours on the next business day. Downside besides the cost?: Now a private company has our personal data and photographs: something I never would have agreed to if I had known. Hey, Ivisa: BIG LETTER ON THE HOME PAGE. "WE are a for fee service."
I needed an ETA for the UK and was referred to an app to download. I thought the first app in the appstore was the one of the UK government but it wasn't. It was this sponsored app and unfortunately I paid much more than necessary. Is there a possibility to get the money back? The app itself worked very well though, that's for sure.
Your fee is excessive in comparison to charge on Uk web site
feaulty in software 1. date of arrival can't be modified 2. visum starts at 2.4.2025 not at the date of the arrival in UK 3. cost are very high, each person ca. 100CHF, the GOV announced only 10chf each person. 4. the validity of my passport ends in august, that wy the visum also ends in a few months, the cost stay the same the whole procedure is too complicated and very expensive for many people
Thé ETA for UK costs only 12€ pP according to the information on the official website of the government. With you I paid 100€ pP! That is way too expensive!
This whole thing has been very stressful for me as it asked for things that I was not familiar with doing. Also I have received my approval but nothing has been said for my significant other. Is she covered under my approval or do we have to go through the whole ordeal again for her? Started 3/12/2025. Clare Forrest Merwin
Your Website accepted my passport photo, then rejected it. Your Website only takes photographs that look directly into the camera (not the slightest angle off). That means one has to go to a professional photographer, in all likelihood. When one is 75 years of age and a known traveller (with known traveller number), one expects more ease in uploading satisfactory photos.
First of all, the automatic guidance wrt photos and why it wasn't accepted was lousy. Second, you were too expensive.
It’s probably not the companies fault? But there was certainly quite a “ rigormarol” to go through to obtain a UK Visa application. For those of us ( a high percentage of the population I would think!) who do not have a degree in digital communication, it is virtually impossible to work out. As a result our younger children had to do it for us. - yes we are lucky!
Far too expensive. Now not even sure if this is a scam website
I saw just now that there is a huge price difference between the gov.uk price and the visa.com price.
Camera a didn’t work on first try. Photo of self rejected for wearing glasses—I wasn’t wearing glasses.
I do not like the way this app scabbed onto the UK.GOV web site. I expected to pay about $13 but due to the APP Processing fee, paid over $110. I did not want or need this help. Very disappointed that the UK government allows this scabbing their website.
I don't understand why it costs money to pass through your airport...it says $12 but then ends up being $120. It's just a fee/tax on international travelers. The initial application didn't have the detailed questions that came after I submitted it, so I don't understand why those questions weren't included in the first place. You also ask for more information than I feel comfortable giving.
My colleagues in US that are going on the same trip only had to pay $15.00 and your service costs $111.00 dollars? This seems like a very large difference to me. Why the large discrepancy? I was trying to do the right thing, to prepare ahead of time, but I feel like I was the victim of a scam instead.
I have two order number? [redacted] for which I was charged $161.00 & the 2nd [redacted], for which I have no idea what I'm being charged for? I [redacted], never got a call back, which should have been in 24 hours. My passport could not be read, my photo was too bright! I finally received my visa by a miracle! And expect a refund of at least my first attempt of using your service for [redacted].
Your wording needs fixing. My second applicant was not processed for a UK Visa because she has UK _nationality_ as the question was worded. There was no warning that this was likely to cause a rejection. She will be travelling on her NZ passport because her UK _passport_ has expired.
The system rejected our photos a number of times - even with different lighting and proximity it took me over an hour to get our accepted and uploaded. My husband's application was approved but mine was not as your photo recognition could not match my photo with my passport. The new Canadian passports have security over the photos which make them hard to match. Hopefully I am refunded my fees and I will try again. Otherwise I will have to go the the UK Consul office in Vancouver for my visa. All in all not a great expericnece.
Submitting a photo was horrible. It took 7 different photos before it was accepted.
My 2 documents are showing the same for me. My husbands document is not for him but showning for me. This needs to be fixed.
Service was good, just didn't realize it was a third party that charged me $200.00 for something that I could have done directly with the country for $10.00. Convenient for someone who travels frequently but that's all I can say. My bad for not researching it better.
Sorry to say that this is not a user friendly experience for me. Until this moment, I cannot get a pdf file of the approval of our visas. I tried everything possible to get the approval, so I may use it when we enter the UK; however, I could not.
