The website froze on me and I had to restart several times, it was also expensive!
I needed a second single entry visa for Vietnam for a return fligght from Ho Chi Minh after leaving the country and returning. A nightmare to get someone to understand a pretty basic requirement. Over 80 emails back and forth unti my request was properly understood. Staff good for one single entry but just do no generally understand the process for a second single entry.
I ordered express getting the Visa within 5 days, but it was taken 10 days. That fee is expensive and meaningless in this time. Please return that fee to me.
The team is quick in responding to queries. But there is no proactiveness in keeping us informed on the progress, and reaching out to authorities in case of unexpected delays. Also, if I get a new person answering the query, there is a communication gap in keeping each other updated on prior conversations around an application. With the service charges being 200% of the visa charges alone, I would expect to have some advantage than if I had applied for the visa independently. This was certainty not the case. I am not likely to use your services again
Is making me redo everything. The drop box for airports does not use common airport names.
Because the application form did not say UP FRONT that a photograph and your passport would be required as part of the initial application it caused considerable problems for me. Follow up phone calls were not answered, phone numbers given were not USA numbers but the Philippines - all of this could have been avoided if an honest and thorough explanation was (1) given before you start the application process and (2) If a problem occurs explain that the hours of service are Filipino times and not USA time to avoid confusion. Once the situations were corrected things progressed smoothly, but I blame the lack of adequate instructions for the problems in the first place.
Original post - IVisa delivered my visa approval letter within 3 days as advised on their web site. I won’t know whether there is any problem with letter until I arrive in Vietnam but I have no reason to expect any problem. Update - Further checking on the suitability of the visa on arrival letter generated more questions than answers - there seems to be issues about using eVisas on river cruise border crossings and iVisa could not tell whether or not I had been provided with an eVisa. Responses to questions I asked iVisa on the subject were woolly and vague and most certainly not definitive enough to take a chance. As a result I had to apply for visas directly to the embassy, pay out over £200 for their express service and waste a day travelling to London to collect; not to mention the wasted fees paid to iVisa for their 'service' All in all not a great experience.
Good: The web site is very well made and easy to navigate. Bad: My date of birth was wrong on the Vietnam visa document. I noticed the day before departure. I then used your chat help to get assistance. The staff person would take a few minutes to get to me after each message. She also was not helpful in resolving the issue. She first told me that i needed to reapply, but I reminded her that i was leaving the next day. She then told me to apply for an rapid visa but could not tell me how long this would take. That’s when i realised that she was simply misleading me because she didn’t know. i stopped the chat then. A travel agent at the airport got me a corrected visa in 30mins, at high cost though (420 AUD).
It is not a visa. It is a pre-approval letter. We still need to take 2 photos and get ithe Visaat the airport. There are other sites that offers the whole process.
I applied for three e-visas and we didn't have a lot of time to wait for our visa, so we paid for the Rush Processing (4 days). After the time was over only one of them was done. The staff couldn't tell us why the other two aren't done yet or how long it will still take and when I asked them to contact the government or embassy I don't think they really did that. When talking to them I felt like they wouldn't really listen. Finally, after 6 days we got the other two visas. I can only recommend you not to relay on the processing times that are said on the website. Don't pay for faster processing because you won't get your money back if the visa is not ready on time. You should be fine if you apply one week before you need it.
This took three weeks and cut to close to me leaving...what if I had been denied for some silly reason...out a bunch of money?? That was stressful
took to many days receive the e visa, it said just 5 days on the website and it took almost 15.
My approval letter had my name and someone else's name on it. I send back a email to get this corrected and I hope this will be corrected with no issues.
Last minute decision to visit Vietnam, needed letter for "visa on arrival" strategy. iVisa promised expedited 3-hour service, for a price of course. Finally got the document but it took almost twice that long. Called two international customer service numbers and got voice mail. Website recommends "24/7 chat line" which I used, but it had up to 2-hour response time, and ultimately only told me that the application was waiting response from Vietnamese government and nothing they could do. Certainly not as advertised! I missed my flight, which ended up costing a lot. Note that they may charge extra for weekends (after you've paid the initial fee), and response may take even longer. 2-star rating because the service is legitimate and did ultimately work, but not as advertised and customer support is virtually nonexistent. For this strategy to work, you must be able to print out the letter iVisa emails to you, you must have 2 passport photos and a current passport with at least 6 months left before expiration. Verify current requirements by Vietnamese government, as they do change.
Everyone Just know that this only gets you a letter to purchase the visas! I had to pay an additional $50.00 when I arrived to Vietnam for an multiple visa.. I assumed ivisa was handling the complete process! "NOT!!!!" Just get a local agency to complete the process its much chaper..
