Going to an embassy to get a visa can be something tedious for many. You may need to stand in line or may be required to travel quite a bit depending on your country of origin. However, there is a better solution out there if you are traveling to India, especially if you have a Fiji passport.

You don't have to worry about long lines anymore since you're now able to apply for an India e-Visa and this is an excellent motivation for you. An e-Visa is the electronic version of going to an embassy. You can apply whenever you like, even outside business hours. All you need to have is a computer or a smartphone and an internet connection. The best part is that you can apply for your visa from the comfort of your home so you don't have to take any trip!

Do you want to know more about this option? In this post, we will give you more details.

I'm from Fiji, do I need a visa to enter India?

If you're a Fiji passport holder, you need a visa to enter India.

What is an Indian e-Visa for Fiji citizens?

As we mentioned before, it’s an electronic document that supplants the traditional visa and allows you to enter India with a system linked to your passport.

What is required for Fiji citizens?

If you decide to apply for an Indian e-Visa, you only need to provide a few things to get started, and wde’ll do most of the work for you. Below is the list of what you need:

  • Applicant's photo
  • Passport page
  • Last page of passport (if applicable)

Also, remember:

  • Most Fiji citizens will have no difficulty obtaining a passport, and if you already have one, make sure that it is not expired.

  • Make sure that the photo is the most recent. You should not make face gestures in it, and the background should be white. Just scan it and be ready to upload it.

  • The passport scan must be of the information page.

  • Don't forget about the payment methods – We accept multiple online payment methods.

  • You should also deliver a business card copy and invitation letter if you want to go to India on business and apply for an India business e-Visa.

  • You must provide a letter from the hospital in India if you want to apply for a Medical Visa.

How long is this India e-Visa valid?

You have different Tourist eVisa options, including a 30-day, 1-year, or 5-year visa. The allowed stay duration and the number of times you can enter the country vary across these visa types. Find detailed information on various Indian visa categories, their respective validity periods, and associated stay conditions in this blog.

How much does an India e-Visa cost for Fiji citizens?

The amount you have to pay for your visa depends on two things: visa type and processing time. As for processing time, you have three choices:

  • Standard processing – Ideal for travelers who are not in a hurry and can afford to wait a little longer for their visa.

  • Rush processing – Choose this option if you need to receive your visa sooner than the regular timeframe.

  • Super Rush processing time – Best suited for applicants who urgently require their Indian visa.

How long does it take to apply?

It takes only 15 minutes to complete the application form.

Additionally, remember that the Indian e-Visa is accepted only at 25 airports and 5 seaports in India. Any other point of entry will need a trip to the embassy.

How is the application form for Fijis?

Most forms are difficult to understand, and most Fiji citizens may not like forms. That does not apply to our application form. It consists of three easy steps. Also, the company has an excellent support service ready to take your call day and night if you need any help.

  1. The first step will ask you to insert your general information. That should take only about 5 minutes of your time. You must also choose the processing time and visa type. Both choices are related to the cost of your visa, so make sure that you know what you choose.

  2. The second step will ask Fiji citizens to review what was written in step one and make the payment. It is highly recommended that you check the accuracy of the information you insert because revisions are impossible once your application is processed.

  3. The last step consists of a set of personal questions and a photo upload. You may be required to upload additional documents. Do not expect to have the same requirements as they differ from case to case. Simply hit the submit button after you finish all the steps. It does not get any easier than that.

How many times can I enter India if I'm from Fiji?

Each visa type has its own allowed number of entries. Regarding tourism, the 30-day visa permits entry to India twice, while the 1-year and 5-year visa allows multiple entries during the validity period.

Do I need to get an eVisa for my children too?

Yes, every traveler needs to apply for an Indian e-Visa, even if they're underage.

How do I apply for my family?

The process is the same as your visa. You just need to have on your hands the information about them. Remember that you can also select more than one person when applying, but always consider that you'll pay for each visa application.

What if I'm just transiting through India but not entering the country?

In that case, you don't need a visa or e-Visa, but remember that officers will ask you to have it when you leave the transit area or go through customs. We recommend you stay in the transit area.

How will I know if my India e-Visa is ready?

We will send you an e-mail as soon as the Indian Government checks all the information sent and approves it.

What are the ports of entry that accept this e-Visa?

As we said before, this Indian e-Visa isn't allowed anywhere, there are specific ports of entry where you can use this document. These are:
