How to apply for a Spain Schengen Visa from the Philippines

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply for your Spain Schengen Visa:

1.Download the Schengen Visa application form and fill it out. You can find the form online on the BLS International website, the official Spain Schengen Visa application center.

2.Gather the required documents.

3.Book an appointment at the BLS International Visa Application Center closest to you. It’s advisable to schedule this well in advance of your planned travel date.

4.Attend your visa appointment, and submit the required documents then provide biometric data (fingerprints and a photograph). Children under 12 or those who have provided fingerprints in the last 59 months are exempt. You may also be asked to attend an interview depending on your case.

The visa application usually takes about 15 days to process, but this can extend to 45 days if additional documentation or an interview is required.

It’s recommended to apply 3-4 weeks before your intended travel date to avoid delays.

iVisa pro tip: A frequent reason for visa denial is insufficient proof of financial means. Ensure your bank statements show regular activity and meet the minimum requirement of €114 (approximately USD $125) per day of your stay. If possible, provide additional proof, like property titles or employment certificates, to strengthen your application.
