What to Know about the Sri Lanka Transit Visa as an Indian Citizen

Indian citizens need a transit visa for a connecting flight in Sri Lanka, but no documents are required if not exiting the transit zone.
Indians transiting through Sri Lanka during an uninterrupted journey and continuing on the same vessel or carrier do not require a Sri Lanka Transit Visa.
A Transit Visa will not be necessary for any individual or group if the airline provides a list of these transit passengers and commits to transporting them on their earliest available flights.
To apply for a Transit Visa, you need to submit proof of transiting through Sri Lanka along with your application.
The maximum validity period of a Transit Visa is two days at the port of entry.
