What is the Thailand Tourist Visa?
The Thailand Tourist Visa is a short-term travel document that allows eligible travelers to visit Thailand for tourism. That includes activities like sightseeing, relaxing on the islands, exploring temples, or spending time with friends and family.
This visa doesn’t cover long-term stays, business trips, paid work, or formal study. It also isn’t valid for airport transits or stopovers. Thailand offers both single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visas, but when you apply with us, we only provide the single-entry option. It’s valid for one trip and gives you up to 60 days in Thailand.
Who needs a Thailand Tourist Visa?
If your nationality isn’t part of Thailand’s visa-exempt or visa-on-arrival program, you’ll need to get this visa in advance, especially if your stay is longer than 15 days.

Thailand Tourist Visa requirements: What you need to apply
📸 Passport photo: A recent color photo on a white background, taken within the last 6 months. No filters, hats, or shadows.
🛂 Passport scan: A clear image of the bio-data page. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you apply.
✈️ Round-trip booking: Your flight or cruise reservation showing entry and exit from Thailand.
🏨 Proof of accommodation: This can be a hotel booking or an invitation letter from family or friends in Thailand. If you apply with us, we’ll generate a hotel booking for you at no extra cost.
📄 Proof of residence: Any official document that shows where you currently reside. This could be a household registration, lease agreement, or residence permit.

Yes, you can extend your stay in Thailand if you entered the country on a Tourist eVisa. Initially, the eVisa allows for a 60-day stay. If you wish to stay longer, you can apply for a 30-day extension, giving you a total stay of up to 90 days.
To apply for an extension, visit a local Thai immigration office before your current visa expires.

Why Register with the Embassy

What can I do if my Thailand Tourist Visa application has been canceled or rejected?
You can immediately apply again for your Thailand Tourist Visa application if it has been rejected or canceled. However, you can also appeal for the rejection of your visa, but you must wait to receive a letter from the Embassy of Thailand, which will explain the rejection of your tourist visa. Yes, the period of stay of a Thailand tourist visa is 90 days from the date of arrival. This is a single entry visa and does not permit multiple entries into the country.
I came to Thailand with a tourist visa and was granted permission to stay for 60 days; however, I wish to stay longer. What should I do?
You can request an extended stay at any Immigration Office in Thailand, where you may be allowed to stay for another 30 days. It would help if you did so before your permit expires. Otherwise, you will be fined 500 Baht for each extra day you stay in Thailand. You must be very careful about the dates, so you don’t have any problems.

If you frequently travel to Thailand for business, you must apply for a multiple-entry business visa. This type of visa is for one year and will allow you to travel frequently.
