What are the processing times and all the fees to get an Uganda Visa?

The Uganda visa cost consists of two elements. The first one is the cost for the visa itself, and the money reaches the issuing authority. The second component is the service fee you need to pay iVisa for its services. While the cost of the visa remains the same in all cases, it is the service fee that differs from one processing time to the other.

The first one is the processing time you select when you fill in the application form you find on iVisa’s website. You can make a selection from three available options, and they all come with their own fees. Here is what you can choose from:

  • Standard processing time – this is your cheapest option, and if you go for it, you will have to pay only USD $121.49. Your visa application will be processed within 7 days.

  • Rush processing time – this option provides faster processing. Your visa will be ready within 5 days, and as for cost, you will be charged USD $166.49.

  • Super Rush processing time – this is the fastest available option, and as you can imagine, you need to pay a little bit more. The total amount is USD $230.49, but your visa will arrive in your e-mail inbox in just 3 days.

The second factor that determines the Uganda visa cost is the type of visa you choose. Again, you have three options: the Uganda Tourist Visa, the Uganda Transit Visa, and the East Africa visa. The fees for the first two are exactly the same.

The East Africa Visa, on the other hand, costs more. That is because it grants you access not to one country, but to three. You can use it to visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya.

Keep in mind that you can first use this visa in the country that issued it. For example, if you apply online for an East Africa visa at a Ugandan authority, you need to enter Uganda first, and then the other two. As for the price, you need to pay USD $161.99, USD $199.99, and USD $253.99 respectively, depending on which processing time you choose.

How can I apply for a Uganda Visa?

You can have your Uganda visa by booking an official appointment with the Uganda Embassy. However, this option can be very tedious to consider, especially if you don't want to waste time going to the embassy more than once.

  2. Now proceed to pay the service and government fee online with your preferred method. Next, you will receive a validation email for your visa order. After that, we'll send you the visa once it is done by e-mail, but this depends on the Uganda Government. Keep in mind that this can vary according to the type of visa you choose.

  3. The last step is to download the Uganda e-Visa and print it out. Your visa is linked to your passport, but it's always recommended to print it just in case of an emergency.
