Starting on July 2016 all Indian citizens are eligible for a Uganda eVisa. This means that if you are from India, you can apply online and void all the hassle that comes with having to go to a diplomatic mission. The process is entirely online, and the requirements are easy to meet. All you need to have is a passport, a vaccination certificate for Yellow fever, and a passport-sized photo. How long is the Uganda Tourist eVisa valid?

The eVisa to visit Uganda as a tourist has a validity of 90 days after issued.

What are the processing times and prices?

For the cost of your eVisa you will have three alternatives depending on the processing time you need:

  • Standard processing time – your application is processed within 7 days, and the price is USD $121.49 (service fees included).
  • Rush processing time –your visa will be ready within 5 days, and you need to spend USD $166.49 (service fees included).
  • Super Rush processing time – this is the quickest option you have. It costs you USD $230.49 (service fees included), and your visa application is processed within just 3 days.

How does the Uganda Tourist eVisa work?

In June 2016, The Republic of Uganda launched the eVisa program. It must be obtained before entering the country. All travelers intending to come to Uganda for holiday, tourism, business, study, family visits or medical purposes are required to apply for one and have a visa before they enter.

Travelers who use the eVisa program apply and pay a fee online and receive their electronic visa online before traveling to Uganda. Applicants will receive their visas via email, after filling out the application form with the necessary information, and once the payment is complete.
