Azerbaijan citizens need a visa to visit India. Azerbaijan passport holders are eligible to apply for Indian eVisas for short-term travel such as tourism, business, or medical treatment. In addition, they must complete the e-Arrival Card, a digital immigration and customs form.

What’s the difference between my India Visa validity and my stay limit?

Validity: The date from which your visa is valid and for how long.

Stay limit: The number of days you can stay once you enter the country.

E.g., if your visa expiry date is May 1, 2024, you have until that day to enter the country.

Once there, the validity tells you how many days you can spend in the country. E.g. You arrive on May 1, 2024, and your visa validity is 30 days. In this case, you can stay until 30 May 2024.

Can I extend my stay in India as an Azerbaijani citizen?

Generally, the India Tourist eVisa cannot be extended, and tourists are expected to adhere to the validity period specified on their eVisa.

If you need to stay longer than the terms of your original visa due to exceptional circumstances, you must apply through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) of the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) in India.
