This is the second time I used I Visa. This time around after 4 days the application was still unprocessed Emails were unanswered Live chat service was slow with standard response " bear with Us " This was not within 72 hour service I was expecting Finally David from chat service got things rolling Visa received 7 days post application
The site states that you will have your visa in 72 hours. It took a week (not including the weekend) for us to receive our visa. The response time on the chat helpline was sometimes good but for the most part it was poor. When I was able to connect with someone that person's response was good and they seemed receptive to my concerns but again timelines were given but nothing materialized in the stated time frame. iVisa has been responsive to my concerns as customer satisfaction is their priority.
Quick turnaround on processing for electronic Visa. However, did not receive a paper copy of my documents (extra fee of $6.95). Contacted the company-told it might be a post office issue. Which i’d believe, except that my sister also didn’t get her paper copy, and she lives in a totally different part of the country (separate application, too). I REALLY hope the $9.95 I spent to register my trip with the embassy is legit!!
Everything worked ok except the uploading of the passport picture and the chat window. I had taken a picture of an extra passport photo from Longs but it kept saying too large or corrupt and would not upload. Even trying to send it by email, which was an option, did not work. The best way to do it, is to take a picture of yourself with your phone, send it to your computer and upload it from there. It does explain this method after you pay and go to the documents required but I did not know this in the beginning. I tried the chat option to ask, ( before I paid) got connected and they said they would find someone to help me but never got back to me. I waited over an hour and a half and then decided to go ahead and pay and try to figure it out myself. Took over a couple hours to complete but I finally did get a visa in 3 days.
I could not load my passport page and it did not direct me how to overcome this issue. Eventually I called customer service and they did it for me.
There was a significant delay because in the requirements it asks for an ID and a passport. I uploaded pictures of our id's and passports. Then I was told for several days that the id was not good enough and then finally after 3 days I was asked to take a chest up picture and send that. Examples of pictures that are acceptable would be great when you fill out the application.
I was skeptical when you'll send me a text inquiring if that was my photo. I would have been comfortable if I was asked on the email. At least there is transparency.
It would have been helpful to have had an initial page which describes exactly what you need for the iVisa before beginning the application. It wasn't until I started the process that I learned I needed a copy of my passport in color, a photo with white background, no glasses, no smile etc. The support was excellent in the process but it could have been a smoother process with a little preparation up front.
to my requests for help with uploading my passport page . A friend had to do it for me.
After completing the online documents and paying for two indian E Visa's had some initial difficulties with communication. They were recorded as received but whilst the website says 72 hr, they actually took 9 days to deliver and only after complaining. They apparently took the decision to queque the application because we were applying well in advance but didnt tell us, so we thought there was some sort of problem. In fairness the whole process was easy and well worth the cost to avoid the torture of completing the Indian online application!! We would definitely use them again.
Had a difficult time uploading the visa photo. It would be helpful to have direction on the type of file needed and what dimensions the image needs to be.
The area for port of entry, should be explained as international airport, or port of entry. “Port” to me means a water port entry. Also, the credit card section needs to indicate, use spaces as shown on card. I tried to submit with numbers all together, the response indicated Check red boxes, none were red. I reviewed each entry and figured it had to be the card information Then the screen went away and I needed to enter all data again. It was the re-entered card information with spaces when the process worked. That’s how I knew it was the problem. Why are parents required? Mine are deceased. It should allow none for information of deceased parents. I did like the “save” box, to save entry information. Used it several times. But, it didn’t work, when the screen went away and I had to re-enter all information.
