  • Given service is great and response time is much faster than my expectation. The charges is petty high hopefully they will consider it in future. :)

  • Health Entry QR for KZ. Couldn't complete the form myself due to errors on the form by official provider (which still haven't been fixed!). Result was guaranteed within 8 hours. QR code was actually delivered within 1 hour. Well done!

Our visa experts are available 24/7 on chat, email, and WhatsApp.

Do I need a Kazakhstan visa?

Many nationalities, including citizens of the EU, US, UK, Canada, and Australia, enjoy visa-free entry for up to 30 days. Citizens of India and Iran can enter visa-free for up to 14 days. If your nationality is not on the visa-exempt list, or if you plan to stay longer than the visa-free period, you must apply for an eVisa. An Invitation Letter from a Kazakh entity is required for all eVisa applicants.

How will I receive the Kazakhstan eVisa?

Your approved eVisa is issued as a PDF document sent via email. You must print a physical copy to present to the Border Service. Currently, the eVisa is only accepted for entry at Astana (Nursultan Nazarbayev) and Almaty International Airports. If you applied through iVisa, you can find a digital copy of your PDF in your dashboard.

Can I travel anywhere in Kazakhstan with this visa?

Generally, yes, but certain border zones (especially near military installations or sensitive areas in the south and west) require special permits obtained in advance from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Access to the Baikonur Cosmodrome also requires a separate, specific permit.

How long can I stay in Kazakhstan with an eVisa?

A tourist eVisa is typically valid for a single entry and allows a maximum stay of 30 days. The visa must be used within its validity period (usually 90 days from the date of issuance).

Can I extend my stay in Kazakhstan?

Extending an eVisa is difficult and generally only possible for medical emergencies or documented force majeure. For longer stays, you should apply for a standard visa through a Kazakhstan Embassy before traveling.

Do I need to register with the authorities upon arrival?

As of 2026, the "Notification of Arrival" system is mandatory. Your host (hotel, hostel, or landlord) must notify the Migration Service of your arrival within 3 business days. If you stay in a hotel, they do this automatically. If you stay in private accommodation for more than 30 days, you must ensure your host registers you through the e-Qonaq or MPIS system to avoid fines upon departure.

How long does Kazakhstan eVisa processing take?

The official government processing time is typically up to a week. With iVisa, you can get the eVisa quickly.

Do children/minors need a Kazakhstan eVisa?

No. Under current regulations, eVisas are not issued to minors. If traveling with children who require a visa, you must apply for a traditional sticker visa for the entire family at a Kazakhstan Embassy or Consulate.

What happens if I overstay my Kazakhstan visa?

Overstaying is a serious offense. It results in administrative fines, potential court appearances, and a high likelihood of being deported and banned from re-entering Kazakhstan for up to 5 years.

What happens if my Kazakhstan eVisa application is denied?

Denials often occur because the passport information does not perfectly match the Invitation Letter (LOI). iVisa’s review service cross-checks these details to minimize the risk of rejection. If denied, you may need to re-apply with a new invitation or visit an embassy. iVisa also offers optional denial protection.

Why travelers choose iVisa

On your own

  • Download the QazETA app, register, verify by one-time code, then scan your document, read its chip and record a liveness selfie video before an application can even begin.
  • Three overlapping regimes, visa-free, ETA and the invitation-gated electronic visa, split across two official portals with no combined eligibility checker, and the two portals describe the rules inconsistently.
  • You have to get a host in Kazakhstan to register an invitation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs yourself, and a missing invitation number is the leading cause of refusal.
  • The official FAQ devotes whole sections to camera and scanner failures, exhausted scan attempts, chip-read errors, login problems and the app not opening.
  • Email only, weekdays during Astana office hours, with stated delays around public holidays.
  • Start in your browser with your nationality and destination. No app download, no account setup before you can see what is involved.
  • One eligibility check that tells you which document your nationality and trip actually call for.
  • We flag the invitation requirement up front and check that the number is on your application before it is filed.
  • A form built for a normal browser, with a person to reach if it does not behave.
  • Support around the clock in your language, by chat, email and phone.
