Citizens of 50+ eligible countries: Including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and most EU nations.
GCC residents: Residents of Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain) regardless of their nationality, provided they hold a residency permit valid for at least 6 months and work in specific professions.
Citizens of GCC countries (e.g., Saudi or Emirati citizens) do not need a visa.
If you are not from an eligible country or a GCC resident, you must apply for a traditional visa through a Kuwaiti embassy.
However, if your transit time is long and you wish to leave the airport or stay in a hotel outside the transit zone, you must obtain a valid eVisa or transit visa.
If you applied through iVisa, you can also find a copy of your approval PDF in your dashboard.
Once the eVisa is issued, you have 30 days to use it to enter the country. It is strictly for tourism and cannot be used for employment or residency purposes.
Extensions are generally not granted for the Tourist eVisa. If you overstay your 90-day limit, you will be required to pay a daily fine (typically 10 KWD per day) and may face legal complications or future travel bans. It is highly recommended to exit the country before your visa expires.
However, in February 2026, the Kuwaiti government decided to give all visa holders an automatic 30-day extension due to regional circumstances. It’s highly recommended to check if this still in place on the government website, before your visa expires.
With iVisa’s expedited service, we ensure your application is submitted correctly to get your approval as fast as possible.
You can use iVisa’s "Add another person" feature to easily manage applications for the whole family in one session, saving time and effort.
If rejected, the government fee is non-refundable. iVisa minimizes this risk by having experts review your application for clerical errors and document clarity before it ever reaches the government.
