Processing time: Most applications are processed within a few days, though travelers should apply in advance in case additional review is required.

Duration and extensions: The ETA is generally valid for multiple visits within its validity period. Each stay is typically limited to up to 90 days. Extensions are subject to approval by Israeli authorities.

Entries: Multiple entry, as long as the ETA remains valid.

Delivery format: This is a digital travel authorization electronically linked to your passport. You may be asked to present confirmation upon arrival.

Israel eVisa*

The Israel eVisa is required for travelers from visa-required countries who are not eligible for the Israel ETA. It must be obtained before travel and is typically issued for short stays such as tourism or business visits.

Israel visa policy

Most travelers must meet entry requirements before traveling to Israel. Eligible visa-exempt nationals are required to obtain an approved Israel ETA (ETA-IL) before departure. Travelers from visa-required countries must apply for the appropriate visa through an Israeli embassy or consulate prior to travel. U.S. citizens who are visa-exempt must obtain an ETA before arrival.

Entry to Israel is subject to immigration screening upon arrival. Travelers may be asked to provide proof of onward travel, accommodation details, and sufficient funds for the duration of their stay. Final entry approval is granted at the discretion of Israeli border authorities.
