When visitors think of travelling to Africa, many different versions of the continent may appear in their heads. One of the most popular is the alleyways and souks of North Africa and, more specifically, of the cities of Morocco. Morocco is technically located in the Maghreb region of North Africa. To the North of Morocco is the Mediterranean Sea and Europe, and to the West is the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. The country also has a land border with Algeria to the East. The city with the largest population in Morocco is Casablanca, while the capital is Rabat. With a population of about 36 million people and a landmass of 700,000 square kilometers, Morocco has a bit of everything to offer visitors. Travelers can expect to encounter a stunning countryside and marvelous cities, with a splash of spices, sand, and sacred architecture. If visitors have the time to do so, they should visit as many places in Morocco as possible, but not everyone can do that, so to kick things off no trip to Morocco is complete without visiting Marrakech. This vibrant city right next to the majestuous Atlas Mountain range is perfect for introducing Morocco to a Western traveler for the first. In its historic center, the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, as it is known locally, and the adjacent markets called Souks are the perfect place to find authentic souvenirs from this wonderful city. There are also many options for rooftop bars, where you can spend hours people watching and sipping on the sweet local tea. If you really enjoy shopping at large markets, you must also enjoy haggling. If that’s the case, then you’ve come to the right place, as Moroccans are famous for their love of haggling. To a foreigner, it could almost be described as an integral part of their culture. Haggling here is one of the most authentic experiences you can find. Be aware though, if you don’t know how to haggle, you’ll likely end up being overcharged. To know how to haggle, visitors must first understand the local pricing system. The vendors will quote different prices according to what the prospective buyer looks like they would be willing to pay. Or, a high enough price to start negotiating and arrive at a price that the vendor is still happy with. As a general rule of thumb, expect the first price to be higher than what they expect to negotiate down to by at least 50%. Once you’ve started haggling, if you think you can get the product for cheaper but the vendor won’t bring the price down anymore, walk away. Seriously, walk away. Chances are you’ll be called back almost immediately. After Marrakech, the next city on the list of must-see places in Morocco definitely has to be the city of Fez. This city has close to one million inhabitants, is a little bit less touristy than Marrakech but just as impressive. Fez is most famous for its tanneries, where clothes are died a multitude of colors and visitors must endure the pungent odors emanating from the tannery to get their Instagram worthy photos. The city is also known for its warren-like medina at the heart of the old town. Beware though, Fez is one of the easiest cities to get lost in, so if possible tour it with a local guide. Outside of the main cities, the countryside of the country is breathtaking. The high Atlas mountain range is visible from many parts of the country, and no trip would be complete without taking in its beautiful scenery. There are day-trips available from Marrakech, where visitors can easily visit the charming Berber village of Imlil as well as enjoy Toubkal National Park. Other beautiful sights to see in Morocco include the blue city of Chefchaouen and the Ouzud waterfalls in Tanaghmeilt. If you are interested in learning more about the political history of Morocco, make sure to visit its capital, Rabat. Moroccan cuisine is also starting to take its rightful place on the world’s center stage. Of all the things to try in Morocco, Couscous, Tagines and Bastilla should be at the top of any visitors’ list. Regarding when to visit, be aware that Morocco gets very hot in the summer and quite cold in the winter. Therefore, the best time to visit Morocco is either between March and May or between September and October.

Because you simply deserve to get the most from your travel experience.

Now more than ever, the process of traveling has become a bit more complicated than what it used to be. As countries keep changing their regulations, paperwork keeps growing, and so do everyone’s stress levels.

For now, travel might feel different in several ways. People can expect to explore a world of face masks, social distancing, closed businesses, and 14-day quarantines.

Even so, iVisa.com firmly believes that traveling is one of the top ways to improve on personal and professional levels. Traveling makes you step out of your comfort zone and develop a sense of independence that will ultimately reflect on your decisions and the way you look at life in general. Traveling is indeed a form of education that can’t be learned by watching television or reading a book. It teaches important lessons and insights regarding cultures and traditions, touching the realms of history, economics, and geography and exposing you to different lifestyles and worldviews from your own. For life’s real education always happens outside your own four walls.

If you’re planning to travel soon, you’ve probably googled whether borders are open, which papers you need to present, and where you have to go to obtain that inescapable travel document. Whether it’s an electronic visa or health declaration, your travel date is coming, and you still don’t know when you’ll spare the time to complete those lengthy steps and be done with the whole process.

As a multicultural visa expert team, we understand how frustrating this is, especially when you’re trying to plan the trip of your dreams, choosing a hotel that you can afford to make ends meet, prepare reachable trip goals, and list the places you could realistically visit this year just to stay inspired.

Sometimes too much paperwork becomes an obstacle to the realization of your dreams, and that’s where we come in.

We want you to go out and buy that plane ticket, so everything else turns out to be an incredible adventure. Just don’t overthink it and let us take care of the rest. No busy lines at the airport, no queues at the embassy. Just a five-minute questionnaire that you can fill out from the comfort of your own home or anywhere in the world.

Your time is priceless, and so are the experiences you’re able to create when there’s enough of it. The reason to choose iVisa.com to process your travel document rests on that, but also on safety, speed, and simplicity.
