Fast, secure, and expert-led visa processing for US citizens traveling to Japan

Japan visa requirements for US citizens
U.S. citizens can travel to Japan visa-free for tourism or business stays of up to 90 days. However, all US passport holders visiting Japan must complete a disembarkation card and a customs declaration, either on paper or online.
We offer the Japan Arrival Card, a guided online process that prepares both forms, plus the tax-free shopping registration most people forget when filling out paper documents at the airport. Filing online is optional and paper forms remain accepted at every airport, but the online route means a quicker airport experience and guaranteed tax-free shopping registration.

I could sit in my chair in our living room and apply on line for an entry visa to Japan. It took 5 minutes to do or less. No paper work to fill in, no mailing, no drop off at the Post Office. No waiting for days or weeks: the entry visa grant came within a half hour or less. It could not have been easier or quicker!
It was an easy process and expecting to receive it within the 24 hr period
Does not help you get a Visa. Website should be called Health Declaration
The processing fee is high to process by iVisa team where it was a free health declaration of a government.

I thought I was getting a visa to be able to visit Japan. It turns out they are not accepting tourists and now they wont refund.
Thought I was getting an entry Visa for Japan. Instead I got a health declaration that is not good for my dates of travel (which I had to enter to proceed.)
Japan visa FAQs
Quick answers for US citizens traveling to Japan.
Still have questions?
Our visa experts are available 24/7 on chat, email, and WhatsApp.
Do US citizens need a visa for Japan?
No, US citizens with a valid passport do not need a visa for tourism or business stays of up to 90 days. What every visitor completes is Japan's arrival procedures, a disembarkation card and customs declaration, on paper or online.
Is filing the disembarkation and customs forms online mandatory for US travelers?
No. Filing online is optional, paper immigration and customs forms are handed out on the aircraft and accepted at every Japanese airport, and nobody is penalised for using them. Filing with iVisa in advance saves time, reduces the chance of mistakes and ensures you don't forget to register for tax-free shopping.
How long can US citizens stay in Japan?
Up to 90 days visa-free as a temporary visitor, for tourism, visiting family or friends, or business meetings. The 90 days cannot be extended for ordinary tourism, and working on a visa-free stay is not permitted.
How early can I complete the Japan Arrival Card?
Any time before your trip. We recommend applying a few days ahead, but there is no need to risk a last minute application when you can prepare well in advance.
Do US travelers need to create a Visit Japan Web account?
Not when you apply with us; we set up an iVisa account for you automatically so you can track your application, no separate signup or account needed.
What about customs and tax-free shopping?
We prepare both for you: the customs declaration replaces the paper form from the aircraft, and we include tax-free shopping registration too, a step travelers often miss when filing on their own.
