  • The application took me more than a week of frustration. The system would not accept the photographs submitted though they were recent ones taken professionally for our passports. The so-called tutorials were of limited help and again the new photos taken were not accepted though we felt they met all the criteria as had the passport photos. The WhatsApp responses were also of little use until, after many days, I had a response from a person I could actually speak with. The system created great anxiety and sleeplessness. The lack of human contact to discuss the problems, especially for an 85 year old person was disgraceful and was a terrible introduction to the UK.

  • iVisa is one of a myriad of companies that are taking advantage of the new (as of January 2025) requirement that US travelers to the UK obtain an ETA. This is a simple travel document that is easily and quickly obtained for about 12 dollars by going to the only recommended place: the official UK government app or website. But many people—like my husband—do an internet search or go to reputable sites like AAA and somehow get referred to what they think are official government sites, but are really just “third party” services that do the application for you—at a hefty cost that approaches or exceeds $100. The Washington Post recently wrote an article about this, after one of their own writers fell for it. When I realized that my husband (a senior) had set this in motion, I tried to cancel the order with iVisa and requested a refund. But the cancellation did not work—since the document arrived two days later by e mail. We’ll see about the refund. Please don’t fall for this!

  • Far too expensive. I did not do enough research, but you charge almost 10 times as much as the government. Bizarre.

  • The UK Visa is listed at 10.00 gbp, yet I have to pay 100:00 gbp to you !

  • Way to complicated and expensive. We had to take many repeat photos of our IDs. Once we got through that we received the paper work quickly.

  • I thought I was in the official website where the cost was 10 pounds. When my only options were 115 pounds for two day processing and up, I thought it was because I was late applying (which was 9 days before my flight to the UK). I reluctantly paid the 115 pounds, grumbling at each step. And the site made me pay almost immediately, rather than at the end. Lesson learned but site was deceptive. Buyer beware!

  • The service should have cost 10 pounds. I feel scammed. Very angry and it gives me a bad feeling. Had I known to go to the government site I would have. It was a nasty, bad trick. 🤨😠

  • The cost compared to what the uk government advertised was a lot higher
    Kellie Dene HolmeMarch 16, 2025
  • Your company is pretending to provide a service yet it is 900 times more expensive than the government site.
    JeffMarch 16, 2025
  • Way to expensive. Could get the same service for only 10 pounds.

  • What a rip off. Unfortunately made the mistake of going through you for a visa. How dare you charge so much on admin fees. Typical company ripping off unsuspecting people

  • My credit card which is fine, was rejected for some reason and I did not like having to share my debit card.
    Stephanie TurnerMarch 13, 2025
  • Waste of money when the visum could have cost 10 £ on the goverments web site.

  • I've been trying to get some I do not want to cancel my application I'm only interested in all of these additional charges and what they're for . assistance regarding 12 duplicate payments in the amount of $11.92 and a a temporary authorization in the amount of $1,343.04. I don't want to cancel my application so I am not asking for a refund for the $111.92 Application fee. I am only interested in removing these additional charges.

  • I had to shoot multiple photos of my passport until your software was satisfied. really a pain.
    Matthew Fredric RosensteinMarch 13, 2025
  • Short time after my application I change my mind, and would cancel it. But just about one hour after it was too late wrote iVisa. The company earned about 648 danish kroner more than it will cost if you had use the british gov.uk link. (my foul that I used iVisa)

  • Totally had no idea what to expect. Scanning passport photo was complicated, taking photo of self and loading was difficult. You must keep in mind some customers are seniors. The price for processing totally out of order. I was told he would cost $10.

  • Object to paying for a visa when I was born in England. Very hard to complete for seniors where so much uploading needed to be done - not a happy experience

  • Too difficult for those of us who do not use computers regularly.
    BeverlyMarch 12, 2025
  • I have realised you have seriously over charged me for the visa
    Yvonne Maree HiskemullerMarch 12, 2025
  • Multiple photos had to be taken, very time consuming. Price was too high, considering I won’t be leaving the airport, just transferring planes.
    RitaMarch 11, 2025
  • it is a farce - on the official site the visa is 10£ here is it 90£ more !!!
    Reto ScusselMarch 11, 2025
  • I paid $151.00 when I should have gone to the government app and pay only 10 pounds. I feel completely ripped off!!!!!.
    Joann NieldMarch 11, 2025
  • Why its so expansive to to visit Skottland for a weekend.. Is gris right? I have paid 127£. When I reed about visiting GB it should just coats 10£.
    JonasMarch 11, 2025
  • You are ripping people off! You come up first when googling “form to enter UK” and you charge $188 compared to UK gov site which is 20pounds UK. They both came through in both the same time. I ended up doing the UK gov application as I was not sure if you are a trustworthy company. For people like me who was not sure what I needed to fill in, I automatically started filling in details on your site first without realising I could complete on UK gov site.

  • It took over 2 hours to get this visa. Every time I thought I was getting somewhere it took me in a circle. I didn’t have any trouble getting through the payment process but getting to the visa paperwork itself was a nightmare. A couple of very nice tech support folks saved my day !!
    JAN SOUTHALLMarch 11, 2025
  • The process was ok but I ended up paying 15 times more than I should have.
    Clare DrewMarch 10, 2025
  • The price you charged is ridiculous compared to UK on line of 10 pound
    RHONDDA DIANE MooreMarch 10, 2025
  • Prompt service but you can get the same visa on the official govt site for $20. Overpaid $160 - not happy
    Lee KershawMarch 10, 2025
  • I feel taken! I googled "British ETA Visa" and your site popped up first. It looked legit so I went with it. I was shocked when I hit the page that the processing fee was $100 a person...but thought I had no other choice. I then find out that I could have gotten it directly from the British government for 10 euros. You should be upfront on the home page with the costs before people go to all the trouble to fill everything out. The way you do it...feels very underhanded and dishonest.

  • This isn’t official I mistook it for a formal one. I send an email requesting a refund because the price is too high, but I haven’t received a response.
    Overly anxiousMarch 9, 2025
  • I feel tricked, I only need a visa for a weeks stay in the Uk. On the Uk governement side this cost 10 pound. I paid more than 10 times this amount.
    Hendrik CornelissenMarch 9, 2025
  • Exorbitant processing fee. Doesn’t make it clear that going directly to the UK site has no processing fee.
    PBMarch 9, 2025
  • I used this service as I believed it was the only way to obtain an ETA visa for the uk within 24hrs. How wrong I was, the airport in Melbourne would not accept it as being genuine. Whilst having a coffee I applied to the uk government website and obtained a genuine visa for $21.45, not the extortionate fee that ivisa charges. Definitely a ripoff.

  • Very expensive Do regret i did not us the app UK ETA. Really feel cheated.
    UlrikaMarch 8, 2025
  • I was instructed to finalize my payment with a code received by e-mail . Instead of the six blind windows for the code, it started again to fill up the application! After 6 times and lots off chatting with KI, i cancelled everything iut of Frustration. Only then a real person helped and finally i got the Visas. I hope I will get a Storno for all the other payments which were all different!

  • When using a computer, you have a long wait-time; mine was 25 minutes. After you enter your information, it will not accept your photos. It continually says Try again. I diligently followed all the instructions. If you get that far, the system kicks you out, and you must start all over. I used the App, which was a bit easier. The only problem with that is you must use a newer iPhone. Once you complete all of the prompts, instead of paying $16.00 US, you are charged a $116.62 fee because you are using the App. The $116.62 fee is per individual, not per application. The following day, the system said it did not like the passport photo, and the application had to be resubmitted. I still have not be approved.

  • We were not pressed for time to receive our Visa…as we navigated the website NO WHERE was reference made to this being an expedited website. We could not go any further to complete the process and was forced to choose an option- thereby thinking the fee had been increased, when in fact it was still only $11 to get the visa that we paid over $100 for!!! Your website is very misleading for people like ourselves who had never dealt with visas, but fell into your trap paying this unnecessary amount when we could have waited for the usual processing and only paid $11!!

  • Several unnecessary tries required to upload pictures of the passport and portrait. At the end the first portrait i tried to upload first, has been accepted after 5 uploads with other pictures
    Kurt EdelmannMarch 7, 2025
  • They charge a fee that is 9x higher than the cost of the ETA. It is a scam that I fell for instead of going directly to the gov site and using the app.

  • Your website needs more information about taking and downloading the photo. It took me and my computer genius friend three hours to download my picture. And you prices are way too high in comparison with other sites.
    Kimberly Ambrose CurtisMarch 6, 2025
  • They Charge €100 extra administration fee that other websites don't charge. They also only inform you about this on the very last step of you application. This is criminal.
    ElkeMarch 6, 2025
  • It took a lot of time. taking pectures of everyone, then getteing the message that some pictures wern't good enough, taking pictures again....
    Ilse Augusta HemelaersMarch 6, 2025
  • Several times the "Next" button wasnt there, so I had to upload photos numerous times
    Tom EgelandMarch 6, 2025
  • Very expensive. According to information we should only pay 10 pounds each but had to pay 10 times more. Had to send pictures nany times before they were accepted even though we followed your guidelines
