It seemed easy at the beginning however it got a little more difficult when i had to take my picture and drag and drop. Had i known before, i would have gotten a passport picture and upload it. This would have been easier.
Uploading a decent foto was a bit of a nuisance, it took quite a while until your system was satisfied. But probably it’s more my fault. Otherwise it was straight forward.
All went well except that one can only use A-Z and one is supposed to write ones name exactly the same way as it is written in the passport which means that is impossible if you have a name containing Scandinavian letters like å ä ö. I do not know if the machine reading my passport will allow me to enter when I have written my name changing an ä to ae as it has been down earlier when it wasn’t machines doing the work. I will be very cross with you if I have problems but as it is now it is impossible to follow the instructions as I can’t write my name as it is written in the passport.
I received a message at the end of the process indicating that the documents hadn’t been uploaded (or words to that affect). This was not the case, but it did cause unnecessary confusion.
It was difficult following the sequence of requirements to apply for this evisa. The photo section was not clearly described thus it took far longer than should have been required to complete the process.
Payment was not in easy job. And also making photographs was a difficult process.
When I got to my destination I was told the visa was not linked to my passport. This led to issues. I hope this gets corrected
Probably not what I expected, and a bit stressful with the photos. In fact not the system’s fault, more mine, not too familiar with the on line business. As an afterthought, it’s really very good.
I liked the prompt service and the punctual delivery very much. Some feedback for your consideration: 1. The messages reflected did not synchronise, leaving the user in doubt. Some examples: a. The message on the handphone showed photograph is being reviewed while that on the desktop showed that it was accepted. b. The message on the application on the desktop showed that it would take a few minutes to check (there was a graphical indication that it was being processed) while an email was sent stating no action was needed and that if there was a need, the authority would revert. 2.The fee is quite costly because a high % of the application is handled by the system.
The process can be quite frustrating and stressful because of the photos of the person and the passport which are very difficult to provide at an acceptable quality given the technology we have to work with.
It would be better that the request of all the documents (photo of subject and of passport) come before the payement
The site starts with payment, and does NOT reduce the amount when it becomes apparent that only one (not two) iVISAs is required. It would appear to be able to cross-check applications with other government sites, which is fine, but still requires manual completion of fields. That is unhelpful and time-wasting.
First time I did the process, it was difficult to figure everything out, but I eventually got it.
I had a really hard time getting my photos into the document. I needed to bring my son over (45 minutes away) in order to complete it.
I didn't understand the full cost from the beginning. Which wasn't a problem in itself. I aslo got a mail saying that you needed more information while I was busy filling in the form.
The UK is not part of the European Union, but part of Europe. Therefore a visa should actually be superfluous!
The opportunities are confusing. I choose 24 hours and got my visa in 15 minuten . And it was very expensive. If i would be unter pressure I would choose 1 hour for rund about 399 € and the result was the same
Had to start over. Taking a passport picture (flat) not very easy.
I'm not comfortable with computers, and found it difficult to get a decent photo and download it to the file. Once I had a friend help me, it was easy.
I don’t know why I have to do it And why it cost $176
didn't anticipate photos upload also. Perhaps a note before you start you will need this list of things. saves going back and forth
The website initially quotes a price of $21 USD however when completing the application you’re not given an option outside of $120USD quick delivery. Our trip to the UK is not till July and did not need quick delivery.
i feel that the instructions are very vague which causes lost time reentering information
The fast issue of visa was good The uploading of pbotod wasnt so easy unclear at times I think it would help to have a list of items you need to be handy before starting eg passports photos but on the positive side the site saved data if you are interrupted while completing the application.
A bit confusing I lost one application and had to start over. It looks like I am being charged for first one.
It was really tricky to get the passport photo added to the application
The photo could be easier, not easy to get a photo how it is asked
The process was clear, but the app was not able to access my iPhone's camera. Other apps have been able to do so with no problem. So I had to take the required photos separately and then uploaded them to the iVisa site. This was an extra step and took more time.
I would definitely recommend using this tool as you have to now obtain a visa for the UK. I found the second section (passport and pic) really arduous.
The costs are very high compared to a friend who also arranged this document.
I think you should have first provided a list of things the participant needs to have available before starting to fill in the application - a photo or scan of the passport, a portrait, etc. Hope this is helpful.
The app process was fine but struggled getting it to accept passport photos. Many attempts also using additional light
Not good updates on our visa applications. Also iVisa did not help me realise that I did not need an iVisa in my case because of my British citizenship and having a valid UK passport
It is not so easy to travel to the UK like before
I was declined in my initial application so I have paid twice for one visa
I need to get better scan of my passport and the expense seems high, though it is for two years. I had an ILR (UK green card) but it expired at the first of the year. I'm surprised that the UK is instituting this visa requirement, as I've been going back and forth for decades.
I've done everything that was asked, and on my husband's passport. It says that the his face is cannot be seen. It would be nice to talk to a human being so that maybe they could direct me.
I think it's very expensive and I don't understand why , remember we were neighbours for decades I mean Belgium and UK . But we still love to go up there . . . I suppose we haven't any choice .
I think the instructions need to be improved. I tried to follow the prompts, but I don't think the instructions were as clear as they could have been.
Liked the convenience of doing it on an online app but disliked the very HIGH price to apply. Disliked that we have to pay to travel in the UK, especially when we already had a passport but we don’t charge you anything to travel in the USA. What’s this world coming to????
I made the request for tourism reasons, the cost seems very high to me, even if this does not depend on you
Main problem was uploading the photos to complete the application. Had to do both passport and applicant's photo twice as both were initially rejected. These problems lengthened the time to complete the application. Also, once both photos were accepted the program stated something else was wrong which was incorrect and caused another delay. Subsequently, the program rectified the matter and all of a sudden everything was OK much to my liking and the application was completed and was processing awaiting further word from the UK Government. Later on happily the ETA was approved and now can visit your wonderful country with no problem(s). Just felt that the process was frustrating and kept "kicking" me back to earlier screens for another run around. Needless to say, am very happy everything is completed but do feel there are some "bugs" in your program(s) that need study.
The Procedere would have been easier for me, if I had at the beginning the Information, that I need photos from my pass and from my face as files.
It is a little too peaky as far as photos are concerned. Furthermore the cost of this application is extremely high. I did not expect such a high cost !! Nevertheless, the process and the confirmation were quite fast.
The way pictures came up...slightly confusing... maybe need to list what you are looking for in order... 1) 2) 3)
I did not like that we had to make the pictures 3 times
Problems in taking the photo with a white background. Even if the wall was white, when printing the photo, it became beige and I had to send 4 of them.
Fairly easy to use. Price seems out of range with other govt sites. Not 100% sure I needed to spend ~ $100 USD to have a 3rd party company do what another site could have delivered for ~ $15 USD. Likely will not use this company again.
Very complicated. Had to pay before I could fill in the form
I disliked that it was not clear initially that my form was incomplete
