It was very challenging taking the picture of my passport or even downloading. I had to do it many times before getting it right. I was also surprised at the cost. Could you please make it more simpler and the cost reasonable! Except for these, I was glad to have the approval quickly. Thanks. Gae
This process took a couple of hours to complete, very frustrating as it kept rejecting pictures of passports and ourselves.
Easy to fill in, a little more diffucult when something was missing.
Little instructions are vague and make it challenging for individuals who aren't technically skilled.
Got a price indication at the beginning, when i then proceeded the lower option was not existing anymore... had to pay 10x
I respect this service but find the fee is too high compare with other. British ETA on line charge 10 pounds but I paid 141 CND, how comes, I feel bad not surfing on line for ETA .
My problem was that I kept losing the screen I was working on when I had to stop and take pictures . I had already paid , but couldn’t figure out how to get back to the screen to finish . The telephone # was not responsive to calls . I finally ( thank goodness ) received an email from I visa which helped me complete my application . WHEW!
It would be very useful to list the things someone needs to have prepared before starting the application such as scanned passport page, the photograph against the white wall and most important the price of the viša.
I thought the directions were confusing. First, they asked for a picture of our passport/ Picture page. Then it asked us to send a picture of us against a wall from the shoulders up.No explanation why. The craziest one was a question asking if we were affiliated with any terroist or terroist organization. There should be one European Visa. Now, if I want to visit family in Spain or Germany, I need to have a visa for each and incur a cost for each:
Some of the instructions weren't as Userfriendly as they could have been
I’m not sure why photos plus passport pictures were needed. However, I was pleased that the portraits I took and the passport pictures were readily accepted
I was stunned by how quickly I was emailed to tell me my ETA application had been approved; all within just 5 minutes. The instructions are clear, and once you have the 2 required photos, the application really does take close to 10 mins to complete. On the downside, however, I was stunned by the extra cost of 150 AUD on top of the 22 AUD fee for the UK govt which does seem to be excessive.
Sometimes difficult to take photograph The thing I dislike most is, I didn’t know until it was over how much it was gonna cost. I could’ve just gone straight to the government and not pay all that money $100. I was not in a rush.
I would have liked a disclaimer ahead of time of exactly what was needed for the application. I had pictures of my passport but did not have my passport with me, and didn’t have the correct view needed. The process took longer then necessary on my end because I didn’t know what was expected and didn’t have all the materials I needed to apply.
Stupid of me, but I discovered only afterwards that you’re not the official Chanel for the UK ETA. Your fee is much too high.
I believe that IF you told folks at the beginning that they need several documents ready to go, their process would be MUCH LESS frustrating. I did LOVE the fact that the screen did not die while my wife and I ran around getting those documents.
The experience was not as cumbersome as dealing with the US government, or what's left of it, but seemingly unnecessary for a Canadian citizen. When I became a citizen here, I pledged to the Crown, and the King is on our money here--some of it, anyway--and I recently got a medal from the King ;) So why is this necessary?
At first it was very straight forward, but after I “submitted” my documents, I got a notification to reupload my passport information. When I tried to log back in, it kept saying they sent a link to my email, but the link never came through. It was very frustrating. I would’ve given up entirely had I not already made the payment. However I must say, several weeks later, I tried again and this time it went through and my visa has been issued. I have no idea if my visa is legit or not as I haven’t had to use it yet, but time will tell.
The problem for me and many older travelers is that we do not have computer knowledge to "up load" etc I ended up getting my 13 year old grandson to help with this form.
The process was great. However, after I completed it and referred a friend, they sent me a link to a different site where they got theirs for about $12.00. Ours amounted to over $200!!!!! I feel I was scammed.
The AI facial recognition is insensitive. It isn't easy to upload a picture from an iPhone. In fact, it does not recognize photos that are acceptable for US passports
It’s difficult to understand what’s needed. Your system sends a six digit code and it never comes through. It takes 2 and 3 times of resending nit to come through.
The cost was much higher than I expected to pay, however, I received results very quickly and the site was way to use.
I did not see the requirement of photos during the original submission, so I find it frustrating to re-visit the application process several times.
I spent nearly a week filling out a very simple application--but simple only in hindsight. I recommend that before anyone fills out the application, they first have access to a detailed file that includes the fact a photo is needed, and that not all size files of photos sent by phone/email are acceptable. The support crew was very kind and helpful, but i never knew who would show up to help, and at times it seemed that any given person had no idea what anyone else had done. The experience was very frustrating, yet gratifying in the many inquiries as to how I was doing.
I was using my computer and completed the payment segment. Then a photo was requested. The bot just wasn’t clear. I lost the page. I returned to the application on my phone but had to start over. I could not find the place to continue. So I completed it more easily on my phone and had to pay the fee again. But I now have the correct approval.
The program kept "hanging" on uploading a picture and nothing would allow me to move forward. It took a lengthy chat with an agent to ultimately upload a photo. whereupon I was informed of a long list of requirements to create a valid one. No one seemed interested in the problem of access through the Web. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to have to fight his way through the process. Visa ultimately issued as planned.
It was tedious and very time consuming to fill out the application. You had to upload your passport and a picture of yourself and for we who are not very computer literate, it was hard. Took way too much time. I really don't understand why it is needed except to generate revenue for the UK>
When I checked on the status of my documents I got a notice the information was incomplete!!! If I hadn't checked I wouldn't have known.
Had to upload passport photos 5 times! Don’t understand why we have to pay to visit England when we have valid passports
I would order a normal Visum, but could only order the one in 24h ours, which was much more expensive! After the order and payment I saw by starting the app the version for less than 20 £ per person… All the rest was going well.
Let people know ahead of time to wear light clothes when taking the photo. My sister took many photos with her black but the system would not accept it until she wore a white sweater
Totally unnecessary. Complicated, and after O’K, came back with errors. England born, retired, and disappointed at last minute costs, almost wiping out our pocket money! May have to cancel trip. 🥲
I liked that the document was not too long but in saying that, it took me quite a while to navigate around the 'photo' area question. Once that was completed, took no time at all for acceptance of my visa, so thank you.
I would like them to have a telephone number so I could speak directly to the person in charge. I am nervous that this is a real company that will allow me to enter the UK. Can someone call me from there on my telephone?
It was diffcult to upload the documents you required, even we followed the fine instructions you suggest , it was hard for senior citizens to switch between the app and pc .
I had much difficulty uploading photos. Took several hours to get it done.
It was diffficult to have an accepted passport and photo upload; made at least 5 at attempts with each.
I was unaware I was dealing with a third party. The difference between $12 and $112 was a surprise but I went along with it as I was already so far along with getting it accomplished, I didn't want to mess it up. Rita with whom I spoke later was a wonderful customer service person who clarified the matter for me.
It is very difficult and confusing, for someone with minimal computer skills, i.e. seniors. and they do have a customer service chat, but no person to person help. All tole it took me 2 days. And I will have a new passport by the beginning of 2026, so ill have to go through this again.
Was a little surprised at the processing fee since it was not mentioned anywhere beforehand. Pretty simple to do on app and a quick turnaround.
I would try to improve the documents and photos scanning process. I had to try 3-4 different scans of each before the system approved them. That part took %70 of the application time. Would be nice if there was a way to make that phase faster and/or easier. However, the entire procedure is very easy and efficient. Good job guys!
The site was easy to navigate after I got into it. Unfortunately for me when I went back and did my husbands application it was nearly $100 cheaper which really did not make me happy.
Too much computer talk for me. I am not that literate with computers, messages, etc., and your “help” methods as well as the entire process are basically 100% computer knowledge based, which left me in a fog. So, for an “old guy” like me, it was difficult…but that may not be the case with generations younger than me. Anyway, thanks for the visa as we’re looking forward to our trip.
Difficult to upload photos. Had to shut down the app and re-open several times...error code said it was on their end. Also sometimes when I selected a photo, it tried to upload it sideways.
It was too expensive for just a week’s holiday. No short term options. Still don’t know if it’s approved.
I found it difficult the first time. But it went well at last....
The app was constantly in French language untill somebody who spoke English took it over after a while
It was very glitchy. You need a Modify button and better explanation of picture requirements and uploading. You need more explanation and how to do some functions.
The whole process on the computer was a very difficult experience. Before I could complete the formalities, I had to call somebody in to assist and this also cost me! It really is not easy for the elderly (I am 87 years old) and somehow I wish it could have been simpler!
