Purpose: The Ukraine eVisa is for travelers visiting Ukraine for tourism, business, or medical treatment.

When to apply: It’s recommended to apply at least a week in advance.

Duration and extensions The Ukraine Tourist eVisa is valid for 30 days over a 180-day validity period. Typically, it can’t be extended.

Entries: The visa is issued as a single-entry document.

Ports of entry: Ukraine e-Tourist visa holders can enter through any official Ukraine border post that is open to the public.

Delivery format: An approved eVisa is electronically linked to your passport, but travelers are advised to carry a printed copy of the approval PDF when entering Ukraine.

Short-Term Tourist Visa (C-Type)*

The short-term tourist visa allows travelers to visit Ukraine for sightseeing, visiting friends or family, or other leisure activities for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

This visa is for travelers transiting through Ukraine to a third country. It is typically valid for up to 5 days and may be single, double, or multiple entry.

Long-Term Student Visa (D-Type)*

This visa is for students accepted to study full-time at a Ukrainian educational institution. It’s required before applying for temporary residency based on education.

While many foreign nationals can travel to Ukraine visa-free for short stays, some countries, including China, India, South Africa, and Mexico, require an eVisa. Full embassy visas are required for many non-exempt travelers, and entry to occupied regions is prohibited.

Can I enter Ukraine with a Schengen visa or EU residence card?
