The Taiwan visa system is known for being a bit picky – your photo must be the right size, and your passport scan must be clear.
Don’t worry – we review your whole application to catch anything that might cause delays. One of our experts checks everything for errors or missing information to make sure it’s ready to go. This review is quick but thorough.

Taiwan’s visa policy includes various options depending on the traveler’s nationality, visit reason, and stay length. Citizens of over 60 countries, including the United States, Canada, the EU Schengen Area, Japan, and Australia, can enter Taiwan visa-free for short visits ranging from 14 to 90 days, depending on nationality.
Eligible travelers from select countries, such as India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand, may apply online for a Travel Authorization Certificate (TAC) if they hold valid visas or permanent residency from countries like the U.S., UK, Canada, Schengen states, Australia, or New Zealand.
For travelers not eligible for visa-free entry or TAC, Taiwan offers an official eVisa for short-term tourism, business visits, and select government-approved purposes. This eVisa is typically valid for 90 days and allows a single entry for up to 30 days.
Those intending to work, study, join family, or stay long-term must apply for a Resident Visa through a Taiwanese diplomatic mission. This visa can be converted into an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) after entry, permitting extended stays and re-entry rights.
Taiwan does not offer a Visa on Arrival for most travelers, and visitors from jurisdictions such as Mainland China require additional permits and approval procedures.

No, Taiwan requires no mandatory vaccinations for entry, including yellow fever. However, the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control and the CDC (U.S.) recommend: Routine immunizations (MMR, tetanus-diphtheria, influenza, etc.)
Measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), especially important due to global measles outbreaks
Hepatitis A (often suggested for travelers to Asia)
No. If you remain in the international transit area, you do not need a visa, eVisa, or TAC. This applies even if your layover spans overnight, as long as you don’t pass through immigration.
Taiwan does not offer separate visas for these purposes. Instead, all long-term stays, whether for work, study, or family reunification, fall under the Taiwan Resident Visa, which must be obtained through a Taiwanese diplomatic mission.
We offer Denial Protection, a service that guarantees a 100% refund of your application fee if the government rejects your visa. This refund does not include the denial protection fee or government fees.
We recommend submitting your application at least 5–10 business days before your departure date. This window helps ensure timely processing and accounts for possible delays.
The standard processing time is 3–7 business days, sometimes extending to 10 if additional review is required or during peak travel seasons.
The eVisa is valid for 90 days from issue, giving you plenty of flexibility to travel within that period.
