Malaysian visa policy for Pakistani citizens

Pakistani citizens need a visa to visit Malaysia, and the most common option for short stays is the Malaysian eVisa, which must be obtained before departure. In addition to the visa requirement, all travelers entering Malaysia must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before arrival. The MDAC is a mandatory online pre-arrival registration form and is separate from the visa process.

iVisa offers two entry documents for Pakistani travelers:

  • Malaysian eVisa: A mandatory electronic visa that allows Pakistani citizens to enter Malaysia for short-term tourism or business purposes. It must be approved before travel.

  • Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC): A mandatory digital entry form that Pakistani citizens must submit online before traveling to Malaysia. It collects passport, travel, and accommodation details and helps speed up immigration processing on arrival.

General Malaysia visa requirements for Pakistani travelers are:

  • A Pakistani passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay
  • Photo
  • Confirmed onward or return travel ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of the stay
