New Zealand visa for Irish citizens
Irish passport holders visit New Zealand for up to 3 months without a visa. Get the NZeTA on your passport book before you fly.

New Zealand visa requirements for Irish citizens
Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs says Irish passport holders don't need a visa to enter New Zealand. Immigration New Zealand still requires an NZeTA before travel, and allows stays of up to 3 months on an Irish passport. The DFA adds that passport cards can't be used. Your passport should be valid at least 3 months beyond your departure from New Zealand. On arrival, show your passport, the NZeTA confirmation and a completed New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD).
New Zealand eTA (NZeTA): iVisa helps Irish citizens request the NZeTA on the Irish passport they will travel with.

Going to New Zealand for the very first time. Didn't know if we need a visa. Once I learn about iVisa, my experience of booking for 4 people was one of the easiest.
At 77 years of age, my computer skills are rudimentary to say the least. The Visa Customer Support was second to none. Customer Support guided me through a lengthy and for me complicated process until completion. Before starting the Visa process make sure that you have suitable facial photographs to download to the form.
Straight forward to do, and the response was quick to the request.
They mentioned a levy on tourists so when I was charged extra besides the visa charge I thought it was for the levy instead of faster service which showed other extra charges for fast service.
We found the process of applying for a transit visa relatively easy enabling us to continue our onward journey without any delays or problems.
Very easy to do and the progression of the process from iVisa timely and clear.
Everything was easy to do online. At one stage I was surprised because I had to bring up some fotos online. Because I had no fotos, I had to stop and do it all again the next day. It would be helpful to give a hint at the beginning of the applicationform.
Simple and easy to navigate and informative about the progress of the application.
it was fine experience but the necessity of providing a review was not appreciated.
The process was easy & smooth throughout. I only waited minutes for my approval email. I will use evisa from now on when traveling internationally.

Our visa experts are available 24/7 on chat, email, and WhatsApp.
Do Irish citizens need a visa for New Zealand?
No visa is needed before you travel. Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs says Irish passport holders may be granted a visitor permit on arrival. You do need an NZeTA first, and Immigration New Zealand allows visits of up to 3 months.
Can I travel to New Zealand with my Irish Passport Card?
No. Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs says passport cards cannot be used for travel to New Zealand. Travel on your Irish passport book instead, and request your NZeTA with that same passport, as Immigration New Zealand requires.
I hold both Irish and British passports. Which one should I use for New Zealand?
It changes how long you can stay. Immigration New Zealand allows up to 6 months on a UK passport and up to 3 months on other visa-waiver passports, including Irish ones. Whichever you choose, request the NZeTA with that passport and travel on it.
Do Irish travelers still fill in a paper Passenger Arrival Card?
Ireland's travel advice still mentions a paper Passenger Arrival Card. Immigration New Zealand now says everyone entering New Zealand must complete a New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD). Plan on the NZTD for your arrival.
