It was easy to use as long as you have all necessary information available when you start the process.
For people like me that don't like pictures, it was very difficult. I had to ask people to help me and it wasn't easy because of the specifications required. You have to pay at the beginning instead at the end of the process.
Obtaining a visa using iVISA was far easier than I expected, barring some of my own difficulties in trying to upload photos. Once I mastered that, the process was smooth and the turnaround time was amazing.

It took me so long before I could get my wife's picture and passport right. I was almost getting frustrated to the point of wanting to drop the idea of traveling to the UK. However, it did not take long before the visas were approved after getting it right. That is the good thing about it.
I had to retake my picture and a copy of my passport several times. It was not an easy process. Every time I thought the pictures went through, I was told something went wrong and I had to redo them. It took about 4 tries to be successful. That’s EXTREMELY frustrating!!
Going on online and answering security questions and uploading photos on an unfamiliar program can be stressful to older folks, this company/program stayed with me and prodded me to completion to which I was extremely grateful.

The service was easily accessible and the Visa almost immediately after having been sent to the office.
A lot of forms are complicated but this was straight gorward and only took minutes. I receieved my iVisa 5 minutes after completion
Some older folks might find taking the selfie difficult. I wish that you could have someone else take the picture for you.

One of the passports I had to upload a lot of times. Tried different versions, without success. Until you take over. Otherwise quite expeditiously.
It was easy to fill out but I was lucky to even hear about requiring this for access to the UK. I likely would have found out the day I arrived causing me problems. Maybe better notice with the airlines prior to the purchase of my ticket would be a suggestion. The approval was done quickly so that was a bonus.

We are also grateful for the “help” sections and corrections indications . We are unhappy that our travel company Viking provided no useful support (we are 85 yr old women).

Easy to navigate. What would be helpful to users is to state up front they will need to upload a photo of yourself and your passport. This information comes at the end. Better to know before you begin the process. Also, payment should be the last step

The fact you understand that one takes pictures with the phone but submits the application on the computer just floored me. It was so easy and straightforward.
I would like to see a cheaper, slower option for travellers like me who do not require an immediate turnaround for their visa - I was prepared to have to wait for 6-8 weeks for the visa to come through and thought that option should be available at a cheaper price than the immediate response.
The whole process would be a lot more user-friendly if at the start there was a short summary of the steps that will be taken in order to obtain the visa. As it is at the moment one is in the blind going from one step to the next, not knowing what will follow and what to prepare for.
I found it straightforward. I am computer savvy for someone in their 70’s - so aware some older customers might struggle. I had to send others in the party a link. Told them to make sure they have a photo and a copy of their passport ready so they could complete it in one go.
I love the process of the work it was very quick but the fee was really high compare to the standard one! On the internet the fee for ETA to UK is $20 but we paid &146.87 that is too much.
The online process was easy to handle and worked very well. The ETA confirmation for UK Gov was approved within less than a hour.
The camera/photo upload was wonky (maybe my arms aren’t long enough & US passport paper too shiny), but other than that, the process was smooth.
I had to re-submit my photo five times -my passport only went through on the 8th try. I could not tell the difference between each take
Fees are outrageous. Unless you are totally versed in navigating the tech world, you are going to have a chore dealing with the software to add in the personal data and passport picture and passport photo. You do communicate well with your customers. In contrast, for instance there is no legitimate two-way communication with UK-eta!
I had problems uploading my photo and the help line was wonderful. They stuck with me until I finally got it done and believe me, it took me a while to get it.
Ease of applying, plus: has a monopoly position. Can't get the same anywhere else (which makes asking for likely recommendation a bit silly, really)
An explanation of what to expect and how the format progresses to achieve the visa would have been very useful to me instead I stumbled through finding out things from making mistakes which caused me anxiety and made it harder but luckily you have safety nets but you only find this out when you’re finally finished and wondering nervously if it actually happened.
It seemed easy at the beginning however it got a little more difficult when i had to take my picture and drag and drop. Had i known before, i would have gotten a passport picture and upload it. This would have been easier.
Uploading a decent foto was a bit of a nuisance, it took quite a while until your system was satisfied. But probably it’s more my fault. Otherwise it was straight forward.
I'm a senior adult and have some computer experience. I found the instructions very clear and was easy to use the app.
All went well except that one can only use A-Z and one is supposed to write ones name exactly the same way as it is written in the passport which means that is impossible if you have a name containing Scandinavian letters like å ä ö. I do not know if the machine reading my passport will allow me to enter when I have written my name changing an ä to ae as it has been down earlier when it wasn’t machines doing the work. I will be very cross with you if I have problems but as it is now it is impossible to follow the instructions as I can’t write my name as it is written in the passport.
Indications are clear in each step. Easy to get through the process.
The steps were easy to follow although the flattening out of the passport so as not get any reflections from anywhere was a small issue.
