I was surprised to discover that entering the UK now required a visa. I was alerted to this at the airport. I was able to apply using my phone and the website. My application was accepted and my visa was confirmed within minutes of my sending it. Later, a friend indicated to me I could have filled out the visa application and been admitted to the UK at the airport, but this expedited the process. However, the visa was very expensive- about $190, including a precautionary fee.

iVisa was very fast and quick with my application. Took maybe 10 minutes before I was approved.
Applied at about 10pm on a Sunday. Had my approval letter within 2 hours even though I only paid for the 24 hour not the expedited one.

Easy, but my PC frozen when I was trying to upload my ID photo.
You need time to do this. Have documents needed ready. You can’t crop your photos but hope they are accepted with background imagery. Glare from holograms in passport compete with proper lighting.

The form is clear. The directions are simple. Taking the photographs is quick and the photo does not have to be precise like a passport photo. Just use an iPad or iPhone or other movable device to set up your passport photo and you are all set.
The instructions about what you would be required to do were not presented at the beginning of the process. The requirement to submit photos was not evident at the beginning of the application process. Because I was not able to submit photos as required, I ended up paying twice to get my application processed.

At first I thought it was an official UK gov. Website. It is not. Then I thought it might be a scam site, as it said "non secure site". It is not. Ivisa is in fact a third party site that helps with getting documents to enter the UK legally. In my case an ETA, witch is required for non-UK citizens pr. April 2025. It cost me a fee, obviously. But it was incredibly easy to use and understand and my documents were sent to about 2 hours after I placed my request. In short: Easy, safe and fast For a fee. Thank you :)
