The Bahrain Tourist eVisa is a digital travel authorization for citizens of over 100 countries. It allows you to visit Bahrain for tourism, visiting family or friends, or attending business meetings. Who it's for
Citizens of the many countries Bahrain accepts through its online channel. Nationalities not on that list cannot apply directly and are routed instead to a guarantor, such as their airline, hotel, a Bahraini travel agent, company or citizen, who applies on their behalf.
Permitted activities
Tourism and leisure, including visiting family or friends and attending business meetings. It is not convertible online into another visa type or into residency. Journalists and travelers coming for NGO or charity work are handled outside this route by other authorities.
How you travel
Valid at Bahrain International Airport, at the ferry terminals, and at the King Fahd Causeway land crossing from Saudi Arabia. A short airport connection where you do not leave the terminal does not need one.
Delivery format
An electronic visa in PDF form, linked to your passport number rather than stamped into the passport itself. Print it and carry it with you, because there is nothing in the passport for a border officer to look at.
Good to know
Every applicant needs their own passport and their own application, and a child endorsed in a parent's passport is not accepted. Applications cannot be amended after submission, so a correction means cancelling and reapplying. Holding a visa never guarantees entry, which the immigration officer decides.
Validity
Valid for 30 days

Single entry
Length of stay
Stay up to 14 days per entry

Why travelers choose iVisa

On your own

  • Government email and phone support runs Sunday to Thursday, mornings only, on Bahrain time.
  • You look up your own status through a separate tool when you want an update.
  • You judge for yourself which supporting documents your situation calls for, and there is no way to amend a submitted application.
  • One guided flow that carries you from eligibility through to submission without changing sites.
  • English-language support around the clock, whatever time zone you are applying from.
  • Live status tracking, with someone to ask if something looks wrong.
  • We tell you what to prepare and review it before submission, because a mistake means starting over.
