Omani visa policy for British citizens

United Kingdom citizens need a visa to visit Oman for short stays, and the most common option is the Oman eVisa, which must be obtained before departure. UK travelers may also qualify for the Oman eVisa for GCC Residents if they hold a valid residence permit from an eligible GCC country.

Oman Tourist eVisa: A mandatory electronic visa that allows UK citizens to enter Oman for short-term tourism or family visits. It must be approved before travel and typically permits a stay of up to 30 days, depending on the visa conditions.
Oman eVisa for GCC Residents: an electronic visa option for UK passport holders who are legal residents of a GCC country (such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, or Bahrain). This visa is also intended for short-term entry and must be approved before arrival.

General Oman entry requirements for United Kingdom travelers are:
A United Kingdom passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay
Approved Oman eVisa (Tourist of GCC Resident category)
Valid GCC residence permit (if applying under the GCC Resident option)
Confirmed onward or return travel ticket
Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
Evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of the stay (if requested)

Do United Kingdom citizens need a visa for Oman?

UK citizens do not need a visa for tourist visits to Oman lasting up to 14 days. For longer stays, United Kingdom citizens need an Oman eVisa for tourism.

You can choose from the following options:

Oman 30-day eVisa – allowing a single-entry and a maximum stay of 30 days over a 30-day validity period.
Oman 1-year eVisa – allowing multiple entries, with a maximum stay of 30 days per entry, over a validity period of 1 year.
Oman eVisa for GCC Residents – an eVisa for travelers holding a visa of residence permit of a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates). You will need to enter from a GCC country, and you'll be issued a single-entry visa valid for 30 days, with a maximum stay of 28 days.
