Mother taking 4 dependents into UK. Mother approved, 3 out of 4 dependents approved. 1 dependent denied. File closed. No refund. Three possible reason given why the 1 child was denied. Now need to start a new file for that child. Passports were very difficult to photograph -they had glare due to the marks on the pages. This process was very time consuming.
The only issue I had was downloading the document. It was solved via chat.
I believe that IF you told folks at the beginning that they need several documents ready to go, their process would be MUCH LESS frustrating. I did LOVE the fact that the screen did not die while my wife and I ran around getting those documents.

It was quick and easy to apply for a Visa to go the the UK online. I just needed my passport info, had to take a picture of it, answer a few questions, and submit a photo of myself.

The experience was not as cumbersome as dealing with the US government, or what's left of it, but seemingly unnecessary for a Canadian citizen. When I became a citizen here, I pledged to the Crown, and the King is on our money here--some of it, anyway--and I recently got a medal from the King ;) So why is this necessary?

At first it was very straight forward, but after I “submitted” my documents, I got a notification to reupload my passport information. When I tried to log back in, it kept saying they sent a link to my email, but the link never came through. It was very frustrating. I would’ve given up entirely had I not already made the payment. However I must say, several weeks later, I tried again and this time it went through and my visa has been issued. I have no idea if my visa is legit or not as I haven’t had to use it yet, but time will tell.
Everything was pretty easy, except for the taking of the photograph of the passport. It’s very difficult to take a photo without the glare.
The problem for me and many older travelers is that we do not have computer knowledge to "up load" etc I ended up getting my 13 year old grandson to help with this form.

It was super easy! I had been putting it off, thinking it would take a lot of time and I shouldn't have. It was less than 15 minutes and the directions were very easy to follow. It even gave helpful options for photos with your phone. Couldn't have been simpler.
The process was great. However, after I completed it and referred a friend, they sent me a link to a different site where they got theirs for about $12.00. Ours amounted to over $200!!!!! I feel I was scammed.
After having tried unsuccessfully to apply for an ETV several times, , I was so grateful to have a staff that knew how the application process worked and could help move things around as needed. The help with the photos, etc. was invaluable and the staff stayed with me all the way.

The AI facial recognition is insensitive. It isn't easy to upload a picture from an iPhone. In fact, it does not recognize photos that are acceptable for US passports
iVisa charge 10x the price of the UK ETA application - a complete rip-off.

It’s difficult to understand what’s needed. Your system sends a six digit code and it never comes through. It takes 2 and 3 times of resending nit to come through.

This was an awful waste of time and money. Having to repeatedly upload photos for what is just a money grab is frustrating.
The cost was much higher than I expected to pay, however, I received results very quickly and the site was way to use.

It was nice to know the documents/pictures were approved right away and if not you keep scanning/redo picture until they are accepted. Very fast to get it complete incase you have booked a trip and wasn't aware you needed a ETA.
Confusing to get photos entered properly, husband was denied due to photos and company wants me to re pay 111 dollars . The chat bot for help is not helpful I need help redoing my husbands visa should not have to repay 100 $ no one has been getting back with help
It was difficult to get a picture of my passport just right.
After going trough the whole procedure I had to pay $499 Dollars (!) for 4 ETA entrance Visa's EXTREMELY expensive since I found out a bit later that the UK Visa should only cost about GBP10,00 per ETA Visa ! Shame on Ivisa! Ridiculous! I am furious about this.
Over paid $150 for each ETA. Did not realise this wasn’t a UK government site.
Very responsive on the approval of our uk visa ,but the cost was outrageous. We were told it would cost $20 Australian not over $300

I did not see the requirement of photos during the original submission, so I find it frustrating to re-visit the application process several times.
Hated the whole process. Took 6-8 attempts to get photos of passports and selfies. We are NOT all phone people. At where did that fee come from? Told it was about $12, LIARS!!
The UK Government web site said the ETA costs ten Pounds. I got manipulated into your devious web site and ended up paying $170 Canadian! Absolutely criminal!!!
I was telephoned by someone from your office who did not understand me AT ALL. It was most frustrating He was supposed to be helping me !

I feel being cheated. When opening the App I was told that the fee was GBP 10. When I came to the payment the fee was 10 times that.
The program was easy to use however the expense was much more than expected. We were told by the CAA that the expense would be approximately 10 to 20 GBP. As members of the commonwealth I would have expected to be charged this much for a travel visa.
I spent nearly a week filling out a very simple application--but simple only in hindsight. I recommend that before anyone fills out the application, they first have access to a detailed file that includes the fact a photo is needed, and that not all size files of photos sent by phone/email are acceptable. The support crew was very kind and helpful, but i never knew who would show up to help, and at times it seemed that any given person had no idea what anyone else had done. The experience was very frustrating, yet gratifying in the many inquiries as to how I was doing.
It was a very easy process, my questions were answered immediately and approval quick.
An $89.99 processing fee while your site appears when people input Gov.uk ETA. That is misleading and fraudulent. An ETA that should have cost me £10, ended up costing me over $102. With radio button already lit I was not even aware there was a processing charge. I disputed the amount with my credit card and will continue my fight over this until you either change your site and make people aware ahead of time of the steep processing charge, before they input their most relevant information. All along I believed I was on a British government site. I advocate for Seniors and will not recommend you for anyone.
I suggest that in the section saying who needs to get the UK ETA it adds ‘those born in the UK who do not have a British passport’. It may seem obvious but it wasn’t to me and it caused me a lot of stress.
Very hard to use. Had to enter pictures of documents multiple times. Lighting had to be perfect to accept.
