Australian visa policy for Chinese citizens

Chinese citizens traveling to Australia must obtain a Visitor Visa (subclass 600), which allows travel for tourism, visiting family, of short-term business. If you have limited travel history, no financial ties to China (such as property or savings), or if you've been refused an Australian visa in the last 12 months, you'll need to apply directly with the government. iVisa cannot assist in those cases.

iVisa offers one entry document for Chinese travelers:

  • Australian Visitor Visa (subclass 600): A mandatory visa, usually valid for 3 to 12 months, with either single of multiple entries, and each visit generally allows stays of up to 3 months, depending on immigration approval.

General Australian visa requirements for Chinese travelers are:

  • Chinese passport valid for the duration of the stay
  • Completed online application and supporting documents
  • Proof of travel plans (return or onward ticket)
  • Evidence of sufficient funds for the stay
  • Proof of accommodation of invitation letter (if applicable)
  • Additional supporting documents, such as financial, employment, and travel history, may be required
