Who requires the Sri Lanka Tourist ETA?
Nearly all nationalities are eligible to apply for the Sri Lanka Tourist ETA, except for a few countries that are provided visas on arrival or have visa-free entry due to bilateral agreements.

Requirements to apply for a Sri Lanka Tourist ETA include:

Your trip must be for tourism purposes such as sightseeing, holidaying, visiting friends or relatives, or medical treatment, including ayurvedic and yoga.

You must have a passport valid for at least six months from when you arrive in Sri Lanka.

Do children also require the Sri Lanka Tourist ETA?
Yes, children also require the Sri Lanka Tourist ETA. All foreign nationals, regardless of age, planning a short visit to Sri Lanka must apply for an ETA before arrival. This includes minors traveling with their parents or legal guardians. Remember, you can apply for your whole family at once with us.
Sri Lanka Tourist ETA validity: How long can I stay in Sri Lanka?
The ETA is valid for 30 days after arrival in Sri Lanka. You can travel to the country within 180 days from the date of issue.
This electronic travel authorization is a double-entry permit, not a multiple-entry one, and allows a maximum stay of 30 days in total. In other words, you can use it twice within 180 days and stay for a maximum of 1 month.
Can I extend my Sri Lanka Tourist ETA?
Yes, you can extend your Sri Lanka Tourist ETA. Initially, the ETA allows for a stay of up to 30 days from the date of arrival, but it can be extended for up to six months under certain conditions.
